I always find it funny how Dave hates his audience/treats them poorly yet the "crowdfunding" money flows like a rapid, dangerous river. I also laugh that at near 40, he cannot control his spending and there is no net under him. I mean he never had a "plan b" and is not budgeting. I helped special needs students in HS where they got to work with money at a school run candy shop. They had less issues with giving correct change or making sure they got the right amount of money for the candies. They understood many things revolve around money and its importance. He still can't keep track of his money(or lies to where it goes) and Dave will never learn even after he has to downgrade his lifestyle or move back home.

Edit: didn't mean to go into such detail but I remember it and find it funny that people who are literally labelled as mentally retarded have more common sense than Dave.

As pointed out in DDM's stream... there was a question from Derich which didn't appear in chat. DSP seemed to quote it but there was nothing resembling that in his stream. The Twitch chat is dead so it wasn't there.

Would appear he has a Derich hotline.

But we already knew that.

Anyone with 2 braincells could have told you the following:

1. 3D is a gimmick. Its a cool gimmick, but its a gimmick (one of Phils favourite words). See the ebb and flow of 3D popularity and even Nintendo's experiment with the 3DS which was dropped quietly
2. 3D can be damaging to the eyes if overdone (Phil and the general populace don't understand moderation)
3. Films need to be filmed in 3D for it to be 3D. It uses 2 cameras to mimic 2 eyes. Not only is this expensive but difficult. See Napoleon (1927) for some fantastic use of multi cameras (3!) that were difficult to use and relegated to a scene or two.
4. Cinema will always move towards improving the visual and sound quality of a film. See the move from vhs>dvd>bluray>4k.
5. The technology just isnt there. Like VR, there is a HUGE amount of room for growth in this area but its experimental. By the time 3D becomes viable as a tech (IF), his TV would already be out of date and not supported.

Forgive my sperging but I love cinema and movies and have been cautious myself with the move to 4k given costs, support and uptake. On a side note, I'll take any recommendation for 4K films that look noticeably better in 4K compared to bluray.
