I think I have said this before, but for the sake of a counter-argument I'll say it again. The commentary community are a crowd of cowardly vultures, rarely will anyone stand up and call people like Clayton out out of genuine concern and wanting for him to improve. Most of the commentary community will wait until someone like the latter or a greedy longnose like H3H3 strikes, or until a time where Clayton will inevitably shoot himself in the foot again. Then and only then will they feast upon the leftovers in a postition where they can be safe from cancellation.

I largely agree that the commentary crowd are clout-hungry vultures, that's why I find that genre of YouTube so cancerous at times. That's why I was discussing someone who doesn't give a fuck about being "canceled" by woke twitter crowds and dislike bombed, possibly an alternate account where you don't have to risk your entire channel's career. I'm gonna be honest, I'm really hoping he isn't gonna make another one of those spineless responses like the clout-chasing commentators that are surrounding the current situation. I expect better from Karl, and hopefully he will deliver, although he will likely focus primarily on the speedrunning part and ignore the landwhale part.

Honestly, I can't really fault Clay's career choice. Dude played the system, became a millionaire, and bought himself a fairly nice house all before he turned 21. If the worst thing he has to deal with is internet drama and being fat, I'd trade places immediately. Who wouldn't want to rake in $100k a month for minimal effort?

Plus, we're all assuming that the guy hasn't already spent a good chunk of his income on a personal trainer and/or liposuction. Given how Clay acts to even the most minor criticism, this feels like the first thing he would've done to protect his ego.

Making big bucks on kid's games is fine. It's autistic, but you're making bank and at the very least, able to set yourself up for life. Clayton isn't a lolcow because he got successful from Minecraft. Clayton's a cow because he's fat and insecure, has an ego that's stroked by teenage girl fans, and is so two faced and deceptive about it, which makes all his mini meltdowns and slip-ups hilarious.

I agree. It taps into the "emotionally centric" love that women and teenage girls are into, and the flirting, light bickering, and teasing that Clayton does to 'ol George feeds into that sweet uwu fantasies that these kids have of the soft yaoi relationships they see in anime and manga.

And additionally, from what I've heard, it's supremely difficult to find a long term partner in the gay dating scene because of its notorious hookup culture, yeah. It's funny how these gay men have that typical male/masculine sex drive that predisposes them to sleep around a lot even though they're banging other men.
