Trump Enslavement Syndrome - Orange man good. /r/The_Donald and any public demonstration of rabid pro-Trump enthusiasm in spite of all reason.

I have a feeling a decent chunk of A&H have every day off of work
It's not really surprising. The economy has been shit since 2008 and it's not likely to ever truly recover.

What's surprising is that they thought Trump and the GOP could fix their problems. The GOP almost accidentally cut funding to critical access hospitals with BCRA. These are hospitals in rural areas that get extra Medicaid reimbursement to make up for the fact that their patient population is poor and struggling. Without that, they would have closed. An evil baby-eating Democrat had to remind them that this program exists, so they added funding for it.

The GOP is not their ally, and neither is Trump.

That's mostly what I meant. I'm fine with requiring ID to vote, as long as every single American citizen is provided with ID 100% free of charge in a very easy, convenient process.
Yeah, sorry, man, but that’s pretty fucking retarded. Birth certificates aren’t free, driver’s licences aren’t free, passports aren’t free, ID’s shouldn’t be free either, nowhere in the world are they free.

I repeat: if it is required to vote, it can not cost money according to the Constitution. What part of that do you not understand?

So glad retarded Eurofags have opinions on how we should run our elections without any understanding at all of basic American law. Literally the only way a voter ID law could be Constitutional is if the ID costs no money.

Fuck your constitution, it’s retarded. People who can’t afford to spend 20 bucks don’t vote, they hang out under a bridge.

Without derailing the thread even more, voter ID laws don't seem inherently bad. What we should be doing is making ID's free. I still don't get how you have to pay for a plastic card to show cops and security guards who you are.

That would be my preferred solution as well, along with helping people get the documents they need to prove their identity.

There are some of horror stories out there of people who have lost everything in a house fire and run into extreme bureaucratic bullshit trying to prove who they are so they can get new documents.

Part of the other problems with voter ID laws is that not everyone can take off work to wait in line for a few hours to get one, even if it is free.
I would argue that to be constitutional, the offices providing the free ids must be open 24/7/365, provide transportation or in-home service and basically hold your hand through the entire process.

Otherwise it creates an undue burden on voters. It's easier to just keep doing what we're doing. Also election day should be a federal holiday.

I'm sure we could get the GOP voter base behind election day being a federal holiday. You work hard and you need some time off to make your voice heard.

The GOP itself uh...they mostly lean on retirees that have nothing better to do.

Guys, you don't understand, we based rightists are fighting for freedom, and freedom means making Jeff Bezos and Lockheed Martin happy, bombing countries with names we can't pronounce, putting those uppity negroes in their place, assuring every cop can see his face on his boots. We don't fall for Communist inflitration that are sewage, healthcare and acceptance.
