because they gives it attention, not effort since no one wants to challenge them
to make a game on the scale of GTA and not be as lazy as them when it comes to dealing with stuff you'd probably need some computer cooled by a river or something is downright insane.
no one wants to challenge them because people will just stick at GTAO already due to sunken cost.
Early on, the car could randomly fall off the hook.

There was also the tendency for the game to glitch and think you were pulling lobby timeout tricks and just blow the fucking car up even when you weren't doing anything goofy.
now people are resorting to use CE so they can hack the game into making a public solo lobby or doing the complicated version of it, which begs the question: if you are already hacking the fucking game why bother with the grind?
also, funny take:

Complicated version of it? Couldn't you just fiddle with router settings on console and on PC just make an outbound rule in Windows Defender Advance settings?

I haven't played in over a year so have they finally found a way to stop it?

Did they not test this shit? No game this successful should have something so fundamentally broken.

There is a haircut that has been glitched since at least 2016, whenever the Bikers update came out I believe. (it was my haircut so I remember)

But yeah, I don't think they test it much. That's the players job. I know some Rockstar knob slobbers claimed the exploding I/E car was intentional. They made the claim I referenced about it being a timeout punishment, but now that I'm thinking about it I'm pretty sure it never blew up whenever I did a timeout trick with it, but would occasionally blow up when I was just playing normal. They still might have been correct that was the intention but Rockstar certainly fucked it up if it was.

I thought using CE nowadays got you insta-bant. Last time I did anything with CE was back when modding tunables to win absurd race payouts was a thing.

You wouldn't have so many people hacking the game if the grind wasn't so soul-crushing. Making the various payouts actually worth a fuck would go a long way towards fixing the shit.

Then there would be another problem: San Andreas would be full of people with those P2W toys. Balance in GTA Online was already fucked up after Gunrunning, it's getting worse from there.

They REALLY need to make the AI fair.

Balance was always fucked up in GTA Online. The tank was originally a fucking monster that could take maybe dozens of RPG hits, and anyone who just wanted to royally fuck up anyones fun had one from the start thanks to billion dollar bounties and the fact getting to level 80 wasn't hard at all.

Not to mention, it was never that hard to steal a fighter jet and just lay waste to the city. The homing launcher has never been good against the jet fighter, and the homing launcher didn't even come out until the PS4/Xbox One versions launched.

It's really a wonder anyone tries to play legit since the moment the game released there were assholes just blowing you the fuck up out of nowhere. IDK how anyone expected to do business deals and such 2 years later. Even with a crew it's some bullshit.

Most people have. :story:

I gave the sequel a rent. Not too bad. They brought in Mariska Hartigay, so in some ways, it feels like a day in the life of Ice-T.
Funny thing is, I still have the LA version where you can actually play as Snoop Dogg:

Where as in the NY version, they added Redman in the game, even though he’s from Jersey

Don’t forget True Crime

I don't think I would've played True Crime nearly as much as I have if it wasn't for the fact that it supported the custom soundtrack function of the OG Xbox.

Granted, it was also busted as fuck and tended to loop the same song over and over even if you picked a wide variety. But that's about normal for everything else that was busted about that game.

I've always called True Crime the Gamecube's GTA. Since no GTA was ever released on Gamecube, this and The Simpsons: Hit and Run fit the bill if you had a Gamecube.

I miss when games had secret characters and levels to unlock or discover. I don't think True Crime: NYC sold that well anyway.

Everyone dunked on LA for the dragons and shit.

Wasn't the best timing. Nobody wants to play as the police in GTA. The R* hegemony was a real thing. Then the sequel was announced, and it was "True" in the sense that it lacked dragons. But it still made very little sense:
