I hope that you remember these feelings next time you run out of resources or get kicked out of your housing. Go to a shelter if you have to, don't go back to Marshall. For two, everyone has the right to tell their own story. I believed everything Marshall told me about himself because everyone deserves to be believed (in the context of a personal relationship) until they prove otherwise.

The problem I see is that people would purposefully underrepresent their abilities while presenting their wants as needs - it doesn't even need to be purposeful malice, it's human nature.

What's more is that the director of the Shelter picked a fight with me over Capitalism and Socialism. She had access to my paperwork so she saw that I was homeschooling using government assistance and charity from friends (when I was s single mom). She argued with me and after she saw that I wouldn't concede to her Capitalistic mindset she suffered a narcissistic injury so she fabricated a false report and called CPS on me.

CPS paid me a visit and then got sued.

The thing worth considering: shelters are a part of social support system. That's usually how socialism works in practice. They don't just give you money to do whatever you want with it. They'll give you food, they'll give you a roof over your head, they'll give you healthcare and education but they won't give you the cash to pick food, housing, education and healthcare you choose because the state always knows better what you need.
