>"'the ability to give birth is what makes someone a woman'. so cis women who have had hysterectomies aren't women? so children and women who have hit menopause aren't women? so infertile women aren't women? so a trans woman who got a uterus implant (hypothetically) would be a woman?"
If an actual woman can't give birth it's usually due to illness/ medical complications. The reason MTFs can't give birth is because they are biologically male and never had the required organs (i.e. a whom) that are needed to get pregnant and give birth.
>"'it's about socialization' so trans kids whose parents have accepted them and raised them as the gender they've identified as from a young age are in fact male/female?".
Never seen anyone make this argument. Even then John Money's failed experiment revolving around this idea should be proof that it isn't.
>"'it's about chromosomes' do you know how many people don't actually know their chromosomes? i doubt you know yours. we assume they're xx/xy, but most of us don't actually know for sure. there are cis men with xx male syndrome or
cis women w/ xy chromosomes whose bodies aren't visibly intersex and who can go their entire lives without knowing; who can give birth, etc."
Ultra rare birth defects aren't proof of there being more than 2 genders.
>'having a vagina is what makes you a woman' so trans women who are post-op ARE women? so cis women who have had to get vaginectomies/hysterectomies due to cancer/other complications, etc, are no longer women?
1. A mangled penis is not and never will be an actual vagina. 2. Actual women who do through vaginectomies/hysterectomies at least had an actual vagina at one point while MTFs don't.
>"'something something secondary sex characteristics' frankly given the diversity in human body types especially considering like race/ethnicity or biological conditions (e.g. pcos, gynecomastia) this one's just a stupid argument. there are plenty of cis men who don't have adam's apples and cis women who do. body types and hormone levels can vary hugely based on your family, background, etc. to set arbitrary or western standards for what constitutes 'female characteristics' or 'male characteristics' is kind of dumb".
While body types are diverse, there are certain characteristics that are more common between the 2 sexes. (i.e. broad shoulders and chins that make it easy to clock MTF troons).
