RWBY - The Hindenburg on which Rooster Teeth rests its hopes, dreams and future

I'm kinda honestly surprised that Weeb Quinton reviews doesn't have a thread here yet, then again, it's really hard to find his lolcow behaviour shine beyond his youtube content farm.
With him you run into the same issue you do with most of the “Fandom Menace” channels: there’s not much to them outside of their YouTube content. Every once in a while you get something supremely lulzy like Zack Snyder BTFO’ing G&G or the RK dude taking a fat dump on Doomcuck (who spergs out hilariously in response) but normally it’s just the same people talking the same shit. As in like, they literally report on the same fucking news as all the other channels in their circle, just with their own flavor of mostly-identical talking points.

Best bet is probably just a Fandom Menace community watch thread that encompasses all the channels under that vague umbrella, like the general Breadtube thread, because outside of maybe Doomcuck none of these guys are nearly interesting or funny enough to sustain discussion for long.

Yes, that's the issue. I can't find a substantial amount of lolcow behavior to write about... sure, I can just go off on a tangent about how obsessed he is with Japanese Vs. Western Twitter, or with Uzaki-Chan, but that's not adequate enough to warrant a whole ass KF thread.

Thing is, despite the oversaturation of the subject. The subject itself isn't bad or lolcow enough. If anything, he's mostly right in many of his points.

It would've been easier if he was some shill for RT. Like most RWBYtubers such as Calyxn (Am I saying it right?) or her retarded BF who I think trooned out. Or a different type of shill like some Shills of the Corporate Rodent (Disney), or a Geewunner (Worst part of being a Transformers fan, alongside IDW cucks), or any other type of hypocritical fanboy.

Granted they're a bit of a low hanging fruit, but they turn out to be unbearably spergy, unlike Hei.

He's also degraded from pseudo-bloggy stuff to basically youtube shorts format.

The book is like that too. The movie only replaced various 80s shit with whatever Warner Bros. had the rights to. ANd they got Steven Speilberg to direct.
You can't support a story or world on references. You'll end up with a hollow vapid world that crumbles under the slightest scrutiny. Then again, that's probably a consooooomer's wet dream of a world.

In my experience almost all critics of RWBY are fans of the show that have soured on it. Despite what the fans of the show think RWBY is in no way mainstream and does not appear in the popular dialogue, the only people who care enough to actually discuss it are people who either watched it and like it, or people who watched it and used to like it, or people who are fans of Rooster Teeth in a broader sense and thus are forced to know RWBY since it's RT's big property.
There is no more vicious hatedom than burned fans. That's always the case. Because casual trolls just aren't invested like burned fans are.

I've never heard of those people actually. I just know some of the critics like adel aka (Happy Belated Birthday to him), MangaKamen, Vexed Viewer, Unicorn of War, and Draco Lord Nick 67 (my personal favorite).

If you haven't heard of Draco Lord Nick 67, he's pretty much Hero Hei if he actually gave a shit about producing quality content (yes, he can post in succession, but it's not like every video is 2 minutes long). He's extremely underrated.

What's more, his RWBY reviews are fucking hilarious.
In terms of "fans" on YT, I only really know of Mercury Black, but he's okay in my books because he acknowledges everything about the show through his memes. He doesn't do shitty commentary or anything like that.

Here's Yang just falling over and over again for almost 2 minutes.

Fun thing I found buried in an old blog, but back in 2019 right after Volume 6 wrapped up, Adam's voice actor Garrett Hunter admitted to hating where they took Adam's character, saying "They never used the Adam character to his potential and then they killed him."
That’s because RWBY volume 1 starts AFTER Blake’s own character arc. She doesn’t infiltrate Beacon on a White Fang mission and slowly lose faith in Adam as he becomes more abusive; she’s hates Adam from the get go. I don’t even remember why she was at Beacon in the first place.

She was at Beacon because she was running away and she just wound up at Beacon. And she talks about how she saw Adam go off the deep end throughtout the Beacon arc, if not his entire run. And we see her leave his side in the Black trailer.

But that’s exactly my point. It doesn’t just violate show vs tell, everything about Adam being bad is after the fact.

The whole "Fandom Menace" thing originated from a very real and genuine place, it's since spiraled into retardation, but it used to be very much burned fans who desperately wanted better content.
