just an observation: that’s a brand new Weber Genesis grill. Easily $800, more if it has a side burner. I can tell it is brand new because of the lack of burn/seasoning markings on the side.

Yeah, the overall consideration with kids isn't 'future cooming potential' but a flat-out functionality one...which includes that.

There was some really fucked-up shit people would do back when there was a lot of moral panic over masturbation or thought it nifty to cut up a kid's crotch because it looked 'funny,' which in fact did include cases of transing infants, and a lot of the taboos come from people realizing just how fucked up it is to wreck a kid's junk. That, and one of the major reasons to not trans kids is because a lot of kids get the fuck over it when puberty hits--in fact, there's some evidence that suggests that a chunk of the rate in kids is a flavor of just...not wanting to grow up because the prospect of puberty was terrifying to them.

The thing is, a lot of them do accept that growing older is inevitable, and it's why responsible therapy--not this APPROVE OF EVERYTHING UNQUESTIONING SUPPORT shit that the troon activists push--has the option of just getting you over your actual problem.

Then you get...Kev. And a lot of other troons.

Oh, and yeah, this is probably why a lot of troons don't act like adults and have the little/cub shit going. The Peter Pan syndrome is a common thread in troons. They think trooning out will let them run away from responsibility. Sadly, they are right in a way because people put up with their bullshit and let them get away with murder.

It's not running away from responsibility, it's running away from everything involved in being an adult.

This is why you have so many wanting the government to pay for their shit--they want the state to be their mummy and daddy.

Admittedly, I think Kev's pretty permanently safe from ever adulting, even by accident. Drop him in a situation where his life literally depends on it, and we'll be all mourning him. (Possibly in the form of arranging a gravesite dance party because that does seem to be how they feel you should express your feelings over somebody's tragic death.)
