I spoke with a guy on the line crew and he said they were all talking about the "fat, delusional guy in the yellow clothes", and laughing at him.

Oh lordy his indignation about not getting a personal text message about road closures was so precious. If they want to call you, they will call you. There are groups of professionals with actual training who aren't on a power trip and won't be a liability. Unlike Bob, who is just desperate to be in charge of something besides Rene's money.

It makes me laugh at how he just wants to be viewed as important and a respected member of the community. But everyone just views him as the town idiot.

It's why he reminds me so much of Shaner. His sheer stupidity and ineffectualness is a hilarious contrast to his ridiculously inflated view of his own importance and it's fun watching him collide with reality. I gather from the fact he knows enough to scuttle away from people who actually have authority that he's been chased off before. No way did he figure that out himself without getting his wee wee smacked at least once, and probably several times.

1.) It's a 100 yard stretch of road in the middle of nowhere Carrollton Ohio. Who cares?
2.) Who, other than us for comic relief, is clicking on Slob's Care Bear Patrol page to get traffic updates that are several hours old from an obese toothless idiot dressed as a lime green Weeble?
2a.) His traffic updates are like his weather reports. Breaking news people! It snowed in the trailer park, 3 days ago.
3.) Slob is a legend, in his own (very small) mind.
