Earlier today I listened to Jordan Peterson's interview with Andrew Doyle about free speech, comedy, troons, the culture wars and so on. I think a lot of these transwomen are the result of soft white boys who experienced puberty close to woke spaces who saw that being a white male was the absolute worst straw to draw if you wanted any clout in those arenas. 20 years ago they’d just be faggy goths but the wokeness element pushes them to get away from the most problematic thing in their circles: manhood
i second this, but with the caveat that those types don't go full trans, they go nonbinary. there's a few categories of nb as far as i can tell: those who just want some of that genderspecial pie, those who want immunity from the SJ mob, and then the ones i legitimately feel pity for-- sensitive girls trying to escape the binds of society being female and sensitive boys trying to escape the binds of society being male. you see a loooot more girls doing this as their puberty starts to crest and the world starts treating them like "women" for good or for ill, but there are some rare boys and 20-somethings i've seen who seem to be alienated by the aggression statistics and damage of men, no doubt unhelped by being blared around all over the liberal and leftist spheres nowadays.
