Most autistic thing you've purchased lately - c'mon feel the cringe

An Apple Watch. So I could use Siri to set a timer so I wouldn't forget that I started a pot of coffee. I always forget to set a timer on my phone by the time I get back to it. Then two hours later I remember I made coffee.

It's awesome. Money well spent.

First edition hardcover of ‘The Shooting Gallery’ by Gaz Hunter.
Unmentioned in the ad was the fact that the flyleaf had ‘This book belongs to (person)’ written in pen. Not fucking happy.

2019 Jeep Wrangler Sahara for the wife. Which wouldn't be autistic but her reason for wanting it

Her 2014 RAV4 got called a teenage girl car by a friend of mine, and I agreed. So she decided that meant she needed a new "Cool" car

And the worst part

I'm a little jealous of it now and want to redneck the fuck out of a newer model 4Runner

Pffft. My mom got a 1998 Rav4, back when they looked like mini SUVs rather than the minivans without sliding doors they do now. The guys she worked with told her she got a chick-UV. She said "Yeah, and?"

I miss that car. It got passed down to me and ended up being totaled after I hit black ice and it cost more to repair a 13 year old car than totaling it. I had random people try to buy it off of me all the time before that.

The first gen RAV4s and CR-Vs were great little cars. Mostly no-nonsense little haulers. Now both nameplates are attached to bloated suppository-shaped mini-minivans for old people that are apparently congenitally incapable of perceiving the traffic around them.

It's autistic because I saw the record set in the window last Sunday on my run and ALMOST turned around to go home and grab money to buy it. Instead I waited until my day off to ride my bike all the way across town to buy it. Glad I waited because I also got some comics and Batman trading cards because holy shit Batman trading cards from the 80's. The store had tons of packs. I bought two so I could keep one closed and to open the other one and possibly eat gum from 1989 out of morbid curiosity.

Replacement headphone ear pads because I wore mine out.

Same. The pads on my Razer Tiamat v1 completely fell apart after 7 years of use. Thought about upgrading to a new 7.1 headset but couldn't really justify it when the one I have works fine, just needed £10 for new pads. It's been surprisingly sturdy for a Razer product.
