High Guardian Spice - Tumblr: The CalArt Anime

So we have a 50+ page thread on a show that's never going to air? I'm considering locking this.
Highly unlikely it will air since Crunchyroll changed ownership, but the people who were working on it were pretty retarded so there's a fair chance of some drama surrounding it.

The people working on it:
Let's take a look at some of the people behind this show shall we?

Oh

Oh no

Oh god make it stop

And no I'm not shitposting. This is what I got from the cast page.

I really want to know what happened behind the scenes...
It either completely ran out of money before it could finish or it was so bad that jazzing it up would cost too much or it was such an unfiltered trash mess that it couldn't be saved.

Either way, you get what you pay for.

Doubt we'll ever know for sure, but I'd be willing to bet it got derailed day one. Some of the posts earlier in the thread kinda make me think they were outsourcing some of the background art, and I'd imagine that the people working on it regularly were so toxic that the few artists willing to have their art shoved into CalArts trash backed out after working with them for a while.

There's nothing to discuss and the state of the show hasn't changed in over a year after it allegedly completed production and two seconds of it appeared in a CR trailer for original shows.
The creator and some people who work on it will occasionally have outbursts on twitter about how much they hate anime fans for not fawning over it, but other than that its pretty much dead with the same conversations about it repeating forever.

Well if anyone had the energy to do it, it might not be a bad idea to make a cow thread for Raye and company, and then merge this thread into it.

It's like Schrodinger's Cartoon, it both IS and ISN'T in production at the same time.
