General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

I'm wondering if Choco is who a lot of Coco fans are migrating towards as their post-graduation Oshi considering they both fit the bill of a tall, busty mythological creature with a more mature demeanour and penchant for ARK.

It's not like she's had a new outfit or done anything particularly fresh and interesting. She's just randomly quadrupled her viewers. Really happy for her.

They all have one, its called "Yagoo's house of broken girls" for a reason.
Maybe the only ones (that I know of) that weren't unsuccessful before are sharkie and the reaper (sounds like a lame indie bandname too lol).

All others either had some real sob stories like Kanata and Subaru or had the talent but not the visibility, like the priestess and the detective.

Fuck, when you think about it, Cover itself is a rags to riches story. Not too long ago they were on a shoestring budget and could very easily have crashed harder than a meteor!

Racism is totally okay and should be encouraged towards any race or ethnicity who would willingly make an enemy of the world.
It's not even a race thing, see proper Taiwan, Macau and Hong Kong, nobody hates the people from those places. They don't get a bit of the bad rep of mainland tourists, for instance. It's a government thing, people are talking about mainlanders when they complain about those harassing cunts. Those people exist precisely because said government indoctrinates them and stimulates them to act in such a way.

You don't even need to be a famous idol to get harassed by those retards, just saying anything that isn't "CHINA IS PERFECT, CCP IS AMAZING, XI BEST LEADER EVER!" when talking about them is enough to piss those cocksuckers off!

Good news, kson has finally managed to get YouTube to implement the same beta/alpha features that Coco has to her regular channel.

Amazing news, really!

Choco has inclined a lot recently, happy for her even if I don't believe double digit hours of Apex every day are healthy.
But probably still healthier than May(?) where she was literally sleeping the entire day and barely did anything.
Choco is one of the girls that fly under the radar, like Iofi for ID. Still, those are good news, that was depressive behaviour, quite literally, and even if she didn't have any personal issues it just sucks to oversleep like that, you end up doing almost nothing for the day despite trying your best!

Oddly, I've been watching Choco recently and her recent streams (yes, even APEX), have been in the 4-6K views margin, and her ASMR stream had a spiked viewership of 11-13K. I'm not sure what caused this. For some reason, a lot of people are suddenly watching her.
After reading this it dawned on me that depending on when exactly the spike happened, it may be partially related to 2 of Twitch's top "ASMR" streamers being banned recently. Maybe that caused some people to diversify and look on YouTube for more.

Nah Calli was definitely not successfull before Hololive. I remember she literally talked about living in a coffin appartment and relied on JET as well as freelancing to barely make it by.
And I think people generally overestimate the success Gura had before Hololive as well.

kon announces she has a good news on Twitter, saying she posted it as a membership post on YouTube.
Hundreds of new viewers join the Membership (still joining, you can see it through her free chat).
What's the good news?
Anti-spam features have been implemented on her channel, and she's happy since this means she'll stream on Youtube more than she thought.

EDIT: just noticed someone already posted it. Well then, another news: she's going to stream on mildom today.

Sui-chan's voice is so beautiful. And I don't know if she works with better producers or she's just good enough to elevate the material she's given, beacuse (no offence to your oshis) too many Hololive songs just sound like really run-of-the-mill j-pop to me. Gura's a really good singer too but Reflect's mixing completely wasted her vocals, for example. The only other member that avoids this is Calli and that's because she's also much more personally involved in the production process.

The 4th gen song was so emotional too, Kanata clearly poured her soul into the lyrics. Today was a good day for Holo music.

Ame and Ina were also literally who streamers on Twitch, and the less we talk about the chicken's past the better. Ina was doing well as an artist but considering she still lives with her parents it's not like she totally has her shit together in life either.

Listening to that voice without the AZKi avatar feels so nostalgic, does it make sense? dunno, it just feels like that.
She's somehow active at both channels? I get Cover not cockblocking Karen's musical career, the chicken's cosplays. the other girls' channels since they're not directly competing with them, but she's literally on the same field with that one!

She was meant to have a set deadline to graduate before saying fuck it, so it might be related to that.

I recall reading she was an accomplished musician before joining, her views ain't honestly bad (and neither is her music, pretty good too!).

With sharkie, I reckon it might've been both a flop and with how inactive she was, she went for months without uploading shit as far as I recall.

Blue Rose is a pretty standard idol song, my least favorite suisei original. I don´t dislike it, but I won´t remember it much either. My favortie part is the artwork, the outfit design is super adoreable.
Here are also two cute short clips from the karaoke of the girls dancing. I would like a cute dancing Nene for the backgrounds of every Suichan Karaoke. With that I will stop my ramblings for today .

Choco's ASMR stream is pretty popular for quite a while though. Its not a recent thing for her.

Some of choco's asmr & game streams few months ago.

To be fair, making a living as an artist has been tough for, well, centuries lol! Living with her parents doesn't necessarily mean she's a loser, she might be very well financially independent but still living with family for personal reasons, also the housing market in Canada is beyond inflated!

all these pop ups just remind me of shovelware game on phones that just spam your eyeballs with popups and ads

Ina once (somewhat tearfully) talked about how before joining Hololive the only thing she had to look forward to was the weekly raids in FFXI.
I remember a time like that. Glad the takopriestess has found a group/circle that accepts her for who she is (ie. Hololive and her takodachis lol)
I wonder if there's something in the Hololive contract that says she can't stream on YouTube as a vtuber so she's streaming as one on Milfdom.
iirc Mildom you can set the chat to only allow messages from those who have a certain level/rank, which you get from watching streams/possibly giving tips/donos. What bugmen is gonna try and farm up enough accounts to botspam. Her recent announcement of Youtube applying the spam system might change it though but she'll need to spin up a couple of streams on Youtube to see how bad it still is before she decides which platform she wants to make her main platform

edit: picture to show how Mildom's chat can work to stop spam

I was working my way up there but Mildom's UI and I guess connection was so ass for me with some of the streams I just closed the window and totally forgot about it

If anything, the friendships make it worthwhile. From what I've seen they get along amazingly well! Fame is cool but it doesn't last forever, and that's considering I didn't even know who four out of the five were before they joined!

Playing puzzles is very relaxing at times.
It has a similar quality to chess but no opponent.
No idea if streaming them is any good, however. May just be some of the stuff she can actually stream due to licensing and shit!

I mean even before she moved to Mildom she didn't really stream as a vtuber, I'm wondering if there's something that stops her from doing anything on YouTube that could be considered competition.

Could be a case of "Do I want to put on some amount of makeup". I know I gave ethot Pokimane shit for getting a vtuber avatar but her reasoning for it (ie. when she doesn't want to doll up so she can get her simps to throw their life savings at her) kinda makes sense. I too would use an avatar if I streamed and didn't feel like putting some degree of a fake face.
