The thing I don't think any of these Execs get is that shit like GTAO or Fortnite - hell, any of these games that get that big seemingly out of nowhere - is that they're not only in the right place at the right time, but they manage to not be complete dogshit at launch and maintain a steady stream of new content. The biggest problem I can think either of those launches had was server space, and CDPR would cheerfully kill several people if it meant that was their only problem with Cyberpunk. Hell, they haven't even put up any Free "these totally weren't cut content" DLCs a la Witcher 3, though I'm guessing thats more a case of them trying to use duct tape to salvage the Titanic at this point...Supposedly the canceled multiplayer was a near carbon copy of GTA online. My theory is some CDPR exec saw the absurd amount of money GTA online was making, got greedy and demanded the game be scrapped and remade to fit that model.
