A lot of third and 4th generation immigrant Americans can barely speak their native language if at all, it's natural. A lot of white people in the US are from Germany/other parts of Europe but don't speak or have any identity with it.

One of my closest friends is a second generation Pakistani and he & his siblings speaks the native language here (Not Pakistani) as fluent as any nativeborn I know. Guy legally changed his name to a White name because over the phone he might as well be white. Just because whatever area you come from has sucky integration doesn't mean the world at large does.

This meme review is kinda going slow, but its entertaining. Placing my bet here; last guest is Kiara so that they can do a "pass the baton" thing towards the end.

In order of importance, things people will use to discriminate you as the other is language and skin (depending on the place, one may be more important than the other) and the clothes you are wearing as second. Tale as old as humanity. Even Roman legionaries forced Auxiliars to use Roman like names if they were too complicated to say.

And please, no. no pass baton to Kiara. I'm not a takodachi, but please give me Ina.

On the discrimination part we are in agreement.

As for baton pass, I'd prefer if the EN girls took over and just made it an English thing, where they just review a bunch of memes, no translating it to Japanese or Indonesian or German or Spanish. I feel like that would be vastly different from Coco's show, and would have its own identity. But I still think choosing Kiara for last is to have Coco do a "baton pass" thing.
But ultimately, and I hope the girls realize this, Reddit is available for all the girls. Sure its a shitty place with super clean, boring memes. But people still watch and get entertained by it. We could have Kanata with guest C reviewing memes for the Japanese /English audience on occasion with English girls just laughing at them more often, with way less hassle than having to be a translator. Worst case scenario Kiara just adds a "review your own memes" during Holotalk imho.
