What a shame. While a couple users were still critical, the parts after they responded earlier in the thread seemed actually kind of positive. Very rare self-reflection. People clearly kind of just stopped giving a rats ass.

I could understand maybe the feeling of it looming on your back might've been heavy especially with mental instability. I know it must not be nice knowing there's people occasionally looking at your every move but Byuu almost took every necessary step short of actually taking a break from the internet. Because pulling this off just tells us he hadn't actually moved on at all. But that's just unchecked mental issues for you. Could care less about the cringy shit.

He mentioned if he worked for Null, he didn't want to disclose he was out of fear of being disowned immediately by the online circle he had. Buddy, I've dealt with people like that and I can assure you the kind of dogmatism those kinds of people breed in each other in exchange for constant attention and validation has collectively done more harm to people like you than this forum could ever hope to achieve. As crazy it sounds, it really isn't Kiwifarms you're afraid of. You're deathly afraid of the opinions of a collection of people you've never physically met, who have a rainbow colored fursonas and pronouns-in-bio lording incredible amounts of power over you. Even if you wield a lot of power yourself in your circle, even if you've known these people for 10+ years and swear up and down that they "Really care about me!"; They will not hesitate in the slightest to cut you off like a diseased limb. They're the reals ones who will drag your corpse through the mud and do the most damage to you. No matter how much they love bomb you, it will ultimately mean nothing to these people when they cut you off. What type of drama do you think makes up the majority of the threads here?

Really hoping this ends up having a happier ending, but probably not at this point.

Well, nothing's shown up on Japanese news sites so far but I'll keep an eye out. If this makes the news at all (probably won't, honestly), it will probably show up here (or just search "suicide" on goo.ne.jp's Tokyo news site or on Yahoo News, which seems to be a little more up to date) or here. But I'm willing to bet most JP news sites will just ignore some American piggu in favor of yet more redundant COVID updates.
