I finally finished reading this thread and the emails that were sent to jersh, and I have to say this guy was 100% faked his own death, Giving all your money over to a feeder in Serbia along with being his code monkey slave just to remove a few posts on the internet sounds like a even more unbearable existence then having a kiwifarms thread. And even if he did become an hero, he was attempting to land jersh in hot water before doing it

Don't forget when hundreds if not thousands of people swarmed a porn star (August Ames IIRC) and she killed herself - all because she didn't want to fuck dudes who fuck other dudes.

There was a lot of "uwu mental health" posting, but very little calling or people's heads like here, despite that harassment actually being directed at said person.

People don't want to face the facts that harassment, bullying or w/e is just something people do. Everyone who signals to be against it almost certainly does it, but justifies it morally, as some sort of a righteous cause. Really, this phenomenon isn't limited to KF, Twitter and Tumblr, there are many gossip sites, many dox too. It's not even limited to the internet era, though before it used to be mostly focused on celebrities.

Want to improve people's lives and curb bullying of randos? Get your government to break up social media companies, or outright dissolve them. This dude wouldn't have offed himself (if he even did it) if he was forced to properly socialize and internet didn't feed his autism by making him code in basement all day, and his only avenues to reach human connection weren't toxic and insane furry and trans communities.

Shit is weird, dude. I don't like it one bit. IF this turns out to be a massive gayop by a bunch of twitter furries to try and get the site shut down and they used such a raw nerve as implying suicide to try and get their way, it's a new low for the whole community. Trans, furry, whatever fucking community has the most stake in this.

If it's all a gayop it'll hopefully blow up in their faces massively, because I can't see how a furry fake suicide plot to try and take down an off-color gossip forum wouldn't go viral.

That's pretty much what I was thinking tbh. I'm sure Near must've had some kind of followers in Japan and I'm sure wellness checks are a thing in Japan as well. Maybe they're weird about not taking those seriously, but I'm honestly surprised nobody hasn't at least tried to reach out for some kind of wellness check/confirmation

Not just death, suicide. Between suicide, foreigner, and first name, that's going to be a very, very small pool.
