Independent of the ever evolving definition of rape that has been expanded to include things like "I didn't enjoy it very much" there's an aspect these idiots forget that makes the whole thing complicated. Namely, most rape isn't the insane shit of a person lurking outside your home and stranger assault. I genuinely think based on what I've seen over the years that a lot of rape is straight up poor communication. That doesn't make it less shitty for the woman, but it does change the perception of the dude. Guy thinks he has consent because she's not speaking up clearly, both are drunk, she is more drunk than he realizes and he actually does believe in this situation what he is doing is welcome. Its less often a case of something explicit you can call someone a monster for.

There's also the whole phenomenon of "drunk dude=rapist, drunk woman=victim."
