I know the Twitter mob does not understand legal niceties, but this entire exchange began with a demand that Null engage in illegal behavior. The Kiwifarms is a section 230 protected platform. Byuu offered the owner of this platform a bribe in excess of 100,000 dollars to engage in editorial control of user generated content. If Null had taken the bribe he would have forfeited this websites section 230 protections and possibly opened himself up to criminal prosecution as losing that shield makes him liable to everything every idiot here does, including the potentially illegal shit.

The threats to kill himself are immaterial past the point of the initial bribe. Thank fucking God Null is not an idiot, greedy, or agreeable. Or any combination of the three. Because this land mine was absolutely tailor made to hit anyone with any modicum of empathy, greed or ignorance.

In a lot of the Twitter screencaps you see people arguing about how people shouldn't be allowed to post on anonymous messageboards, but at the same time, a lot of their anger comes from being unable to keep their anonymity after plastering their personal details on all of their socials and doing something dumb enough to draw attention. I just don't get how they can argue that your anonymity should be revoked if you make enough people mad, but getting mad that someone they liked had their anonymity revoked for making people mad. Makes my head hurt.
