The goldfish memory that Twitter has about Kiwifarms highlights the insincerity of their arguments.
It’s not about having a goldfish memory. It’s the same disingenuous yet effective tactic people have used forever, and troons and shitlibs have been perfecting it since before Orange Man Bad drove them crazy.
1. Loudly insist that your enemies have done something terrible.
2. Build on each other’s lies. “Yes, and…” It works the same way as it does for improv comedy.
3. Shout down, vilify, and deplatform anyone who says otherwise.
4. Normies with no dog in the fight will think, “well, there must be something to it, or else so many people wouldn’t be so mad.”
5. Sensible people with no dog in the fight know that asking for evidence will get them mobbed by screaming lunatics calling them nazis and trying to get them fired from their jobs, so they’ll wait to pick a fight more relevant to their interests.
6. Lunatics know that the longer they scream at authority figures (Cloudflare, Twatter, the FBI, etc.), the more likely it is that an authority figure will act because a) their ideology aligns or b) to avoid getting mobbed by crazy people.
Normal people need to start showing up to riot for their own side.
