Whoever performs your marriage ceremony has, by law, ten (10) calendar days from the date of the ceremony to file the Marriage Certificate with our office. Once filed, you can order a certified Marriage Certificate (legal proof of marriage) online from our Online Ordering website. Please note, if you receive a call after your ceremony by anyone soliciting the sale of your Marriage Certificate, be aware that it is not our office. We charge $20 per certified copy.
So I would wait until mid-July before starting the conspiracy theories. Even though I'm the one that asked the initial question; that's what I get for typing out my thoughts.

The current cost to obtain a Marriage License is $77. Starting July 1, 2021, the fee for a marriage license in Clark County will be $102 due to recently approved legislation that increases the fee to support domestic violence and rape crisis programs in Nevada.
