I feel so sorry for a pampered actor's trials and tribulations. Also it isn't like this doesn't happen to white people. John Mellencamp, as white as the day is long, was forced to change his name to Johnny Cougar to get a recording contract. And yes, he reclaimed it too, calling himself John Cougar Mellencamp for a bit while he transitioned back to being John Mellencamp.

Yep it's pretty universal and that's why stage names are a thing. All names aren't equal, some don't stick in your mind, some are too much like someone famous or just sound awkward. This isn't about you but making it easier for strangers, be it general public or those hiring, to remember you and so giving you more opportunities. Acting and music are very highly competitive fields so you need all advantages you can get. If your name isn't working you are better off changing it to something easier to sell. Nothing about this race related, wierd name is a wierd name regardless of the origins.

Another example would be one of the greatest and one of the most obviously Aryan of all stars, Arnold Schwarzenegger. In his first (godawful) movie, Hercules in New York, he was forced to call himself by the utterly retarded name "Arnold Strong," and they thought his accent, which later became a core part of his persona, was too weird, so they overdubbed his lines.
After popularizing his actual persona in the movie Pumping Iron, he was then able to reclaim his name and actually get hired specifically because of his distinctive, badass Austrian accent.

Sophie might have considered suicide when it looked like her career was going to get tanked because she was tracing over pictures of children to draw child porn and we outed her as a predatory paedophile, but since she managed to grift hard enough to avoid a hit to her income I guess those thoughts dried up.
