Yagoo, bro, just fire all the managers, they all failed at their job.
They are all reddit-level powertripping crazy, contribute nothing to the actual growth of subscribers or superchats, don't care about anything but their veto power. Fuck, I'll beat them up if you want, free of charge. Get people with a spine, someone who knows how to deal with gachis, the insectoids, stalkers etc.

Listening to Botan crying makes my blood boil

Welp it's official. Gura is the #1 most subscribed to VTuber, making her the most popular VTuber in the world. CONGRATULATIONS GURA! You've worked very hard these past 10 months and I'd say you very much deserve this. May you continue to grow for a very long time.Nothing can stop best shark

I feel a lot of people are misunderstanding me. At least that's the impression I get because I don't think I said anything wrong (if you have any additional criticisms of the post I'd love to hear them) . I feel people are acting like I'm numberfagging, putting Kizuna down, and saying Gura is more popular than Kizuna was at peak. So I feel a necessity to clarify.
1. I'm not trying to numberfag. I'm simply trying to celebrate and congratulate Gura for getting this much success in this short of time.
2. I'm not putting Kizuna down, her influence on the industry will never be matched and I'm very thankful for taking the leap and becoming the first VTuber. Creating a new industry
3. Gura is the most popular rn in current times. She's the one I'm seeing grow the fastest and be talked about the most. But don't get it twisted, no one can match Kizuna's popularity at her peak as it's impossible. She created an industry and was the only VTuber for a while, her popularity was insane as no one could go to anyone else but her to get the content she makes. And perhaps I'd have a different opinion if I lived in Japan, as I'm sure she's still very popular over there.
I feel people were misunderstanding me. Not trying to be spergy rn but I did feel I should clarify. And now that I have, I'll move on but respond to criticism if you guys have any.

I'm not an emotional person and I've kept it together this whole time with the graduations but this one got me.
It's from the ark stream

A lot of these interactions and stuff have made me get sad and thoughtful, especially as the time inched closer and on days where there's not much to do but overthink life in general.
But call me a faggot because there's something about the Lion that just hits differently and a few tears slipped out.

Got to say, the Hololive content produced in the last month leading up to the graduation was some of the most enjoyable I have seen for a while. Said it when it was announced, better to enjoy the process as they go through this period of change than be utterly down. We had quite a few collabs with Hololive EN and Coco including shitpost reviews and a Holotalk, which before were essentially not allowed, we got another Elite English collab, the USAKEN festival, lots of fun content to go back and watch, a lot of which probably wouldn't have happened if Coco did not decide to graduate.

In that sense, quite a few positives to come from it, even if it is a bit of a downer in the end.

I went utterly slackjawed. Botan NEVER cries over anything; for this trend to break she's got to be absolutely devastated. My hatred of worthless yellow vermin just doubled.

The only other time I can recollect and it's shortly after Coco first announced her graduation publicly.

God that made me cry. It's all very sad and bittersweet. I wish Coco wasn't leaving, after Calli collab I was getting into the idea of subbing to her, an idea only fueled by me subbing to Uto, and then shortly after she announces she's graduating. I understand why though and she needs to do what'll make her happy, but I still wish she wasn't quitting at all; especially over antis harassing her. It's sweet seeing everyone's compliments and thanks to Coco.

Even if we assume Coco makes her own V-Tuber group, that means she's moved on from Hololive. The argument was never that she's done with the V-Tuber industry, but that she will one day triumphantly return to Hololive when she's finished doing whatever she's leaving for. THAT is Copium.
when hololive collabs with an indie named kson that talks like a certain dragon, behaves like a certain dragon and constantly hints at certain dragon things, I can't wait for IT'S NOT COCO IT DOESN'T COUNT - but sure, it's the others that are coping.

never mind you're comparing early twenty somethings that change careers or were forced to quit for various reasons to an early thirties 22 year old who split amicably after fucking policy disagreements and keeps doing exactly the same thing as before, just not under the company account and with a different avatar/facecam. it's not like context matters or anything.

will coco one day return and keep going as if nothing happened? unlikely. will she never ever show up again even once in some form when she probably still has yagoo on speed dial and lives right next door to hololive members and keeps hanging out with them? even less likely.

Before people bring up one of the only cases of a vtuber returning from graduation- Sasaki Saku from Nijisanji- she's gone on record saying that it was hard to even come back.
Its like quitting your job, you're not just going to be let back in on command, presumably there's a ton of background work to even be able to un-graduate.
it really depends on the circumstances and the company, and even japan changes, however slowly. if you told anyone just last month streams will be kept online after a graduation and the persona not memoryholed, people would've rated you dumb.

there's nothing preventing coco to come back for a guest appearance or whatever because for her it's basically switching accounts and putting up a different avatar, technically there's hardly any work involved compared to someone who stopped it completely and most likely returned/dismantled all the equipment while dealing with university etc.
the other thing is purely bureaucratic (which ofc depends a lot of the company in question and what happened), but like before if you keep the accounts and everything intact it's a lot easier to just upload again than having to set it up basically from scratch, it's all a matter of logistics so to speak. the people that get paid for it can figure out how a possible contract will look like - and in this special case we're talking about one of the companies biggest earners with a reach most twitch thots dream about. it would be dumb to cockblock any possible collab or partnership because of hurt feefees (again, this is japan, but the game has already changed and it's unlikely to stop now); not to mention it wasn't a company mandated graduation in the first place, and they could even use it as plausible deniability when she goes all out as coco again randomly - what the antis gonna do, cancel a "non-official" member of hololive that streams guerilla style?
there's plenty of ways you could proceed in this case, and the dragon's probably smart enough to recognize that, it really depends on cover and how they want to handle it if they consider it (which they probably do looking at the dosh and PR the she brought in).

TLDR: worst case nothing happens and coco is gone for good, but there's still a chance we'll get to hear a dragon scream "okite!" at some point again.

Listening to Coco singing and I'm having a bit of an existential crisis.
Why DO I like this?
I don't know if I'm just being a retard and those people saying VTubers are just twitch whores with anime avatars are right, or there is a part of me that wasn't destroyed by a depressive cynicism that can actually let go and enjoy things.
Guess I'll have to

just enjoy.

thanks for reading my blog, here's a cute gura wearing a hat as a reward.

I don't know. Probably like a few of you here, I fell down the rabbit hole recently when it comes to watching these folks. I guess it's just that they're a bit of fresh air in an otherwise stale environment.

Finally caught up on Gura's TTRPG stream. Holy hell did she absolutely kill it. I love how everyone had a very different playstyle for these tutorials. Kiara was pretty standard middle of the road, Ina actively avoided every problem she could, Ame just went along on Calli's ride and Gura took the reins and did whatever the fuck she wanted. I was skeptical on this TTRPG stuff..but I'm honestly invested now.

it didn't hit me hard until I saw this thumbnail Miko put up for her coming stream.
I'm full blown crying like I just lost family now, thought I could hold it together until the stream

EDIT: best friend has been drawing a farewell gift I think for Coco
chrome_CZXwXTHDY6.png

quite a bit of bugmen spam but goddamn are her mods/bot shooting them down pretty good. The fuckers however are trying to get around by having their username as the message they wanna send, so even if they get deleted, their name sticks around showing whatever shitty spam they had.
