Not even just sports games: he's playing career mode on MLB. Career mode/Road to the Show is boring as fuck to watch even if its someone who's into it. Most people who do play sports games on stream, or for videos tend to go towards Ultimate team, or GM modes. At least with Ultimate Team you're playing competitive and building a team, there's moving pieces and challenge, and with GM mode you can take control of a franchise you enjoy, talk about your history with it and it's legacy or whatever the fuck, and actually do something with noticeable results. You could even add tips incentives for letting chat put a team together for you in either of those modes to give some more viewer engagement and make more money.

Yup, he has already done so with the vest streak. Just as a reminder, before the vest streak he didn't even have a tips goal during non-begathon streams, him getting $50 was considered a good amount of support for a stream back then. Now with the $100 goal, $50 is considered slow and when the goal was $200, $50 was considered really slow.

I could see a return to twitch, but he raises the tips goal back to $200 to make up for the lost income since he won't be making money from things like Youtube super chats anymore. The ol' DSP Reverse Double Dip 3000.

I feel like Phil will definitely go back to Twitch very soon. He's certainly seen there's been a decline in support, and my guess is that with time things would get so boring that even whales might not see a point in helping him.
Dunno if it's just me, but I feel like streams in YouTube are way less interesting than Twitch streams. And Phil's streams are already shit-tier, so...

I don't see him going back to Twitch. I have no doubt that he could do a 180 on all his Youtube rules, Twitch drools rhetoric, but Dave goes where the money is. If he goes back to Twitch he doesn't gain anything in terms of monetization, he's unpartnered so he can't get bits or subs. At least on youtube he's steadily starting to move all of his income to tips to offset no gifts subs being around.

I'd say this is still very much up in the air. He hasn't been streaming on YT that terribly long, I think if he's going to go back to Twitch there's still a little bit more time until then.

The newer versions of the game have a simplified control scheme mode so even tards who struggle with children's golfing games can manage to take off from the runway. Though you are right, there is very little "exciting" gameplay. It's like the people who stream Euro Truck Simulator, not really much exciting is happening in-game which gives the streamer a chance to interact with their audience and entertain them, and we all know how bad Dave is at that.
