Yes, but note the original discussion was about general conservative viewpoints, not just opinions on trans people. I do think there will be a gen Z or gen alpha backlash eventually against the transgender show, if only because it will not be seen as cool anymore. When being nonbinary or on estrogen is associated with being in your thirties and fat and out of date with what the kids are doing, those kids will not be lining up to get on board and constantly validate your feelings.

I do not think this will translate to more conservative beliefs in general (in the sense of 'conservatism' as we understand it now in any case). The key to turning people conservative is to offer them a positive stake in the status quo, and young people simply are not getting that anymore. We are in for interesting times. But that is getting off topic.

Just to add a little powerlevel here, I’m the parent of a Gen Z teen boy, keen gamer, kinda nerdy. His only experience of troonery is at school, and apparently ‘it’s all fat girls‘, as for non-binary I’ll directly quote him ‘just seems to mean you get a shitty haircut and a pair of ugly glasses’.

Socially conservative members of Gen Z are most likely going to reinvent Strasserism. So that's fun.

If anything I think the backlash from Gen Z will come from left-leaning groups never shutting up about trans rights while ignoring the more pressing immediate economic concerns that affect their generation.
