Meanwhile, they're getting so mad their thin vineer of "I'm better than you which is why I can talk down to you" is shattering

If they think this is going to get people to rally against TSR, shitting on Gygax's legacy might not work out too well for them. But then again, they think they've colonized the entire tabletop space and are now just rewriting history and burning down any cultural heroes the original owners owned, so this is pretty much standard operating procedure for Cultural Maoists...
I think the real surprising takeaway from this all is that the guy who invented D&D managed to have kids.
Independent of the ever evolving definition of rape that has been expanded to include things like "I didn't enjoy it very much" there's an aspect these idiots forget that makes the whole thing complicated. Namely, most rape isn't the insane shit of a person lurking outside your home and stranger assault. I genuinely think based on what I've seen over the years that a lot of rape is straight up poor communication. That doesn't make it less shitty for the woman, but it does change the perception of the dude. Guy thinks he has consent because she's not speaking up clearly, both are drunk, she is more drunk than he realizes and he actually does believe in this situation what he is doing is welcome. Its less often a case of something explicit you can call someone a monster for.
Pro-tip: To ensure consent when having sex with a woman, always wear headphones playing some female vocalist (say the Go-Gos, Hole, Yoko Ono, or Tori Amos) at top volume so as to not be distracted by any unwanted ambient sounds. As well, never make eye contact, and if that seems unavoidable, doggy style is a sure winner in ensuring the sex was consentual. Also, a woman's body usually reacts with tears when having an orgasm.
