How will Eren be stopped?

The timeskip should have been called 'buying time', because Isayama clearly got bored of the horror part and just wanted a shitty WWII fanfic with GoT-tier retard politics and tried desperately to make it fit. Everything since the timeskip was just delaying because he didn't know where he was going.

It was clear with the timeskip, Isayama only had two priorities

Writing characters he likes since I'll give him credit that some of his character writing was pretty good in the timeskip however it came at the cost of the plot where his other priority was making sure the rumbling arc happened no matter how dumb the steps to get there was (i.e. Eren's retarded powers, all the competent characters being gimped, and the insanely shit worldbuilding that takes away what made AOT interesting).

Also I hate to compare this to WWII since the WWII equivalent of AOT would be that every country in the world hates Israel and the leader of germany was an openly Rich Jew adored by everyone and then Israel nukes everybody after a declaration of war.
WW2 with WW1 technology.
Never really had enough impact to make a presence, so I wouldn’t be on the map they have on their official site. My main contributions were at the beginning when we were just remaking 139. I pretty much ceased adding anything of value once it was decided we were to redo the other chapters as well.
As for shipping Eren and Historia, I was a pretty firm believer in the baby theory because it made a lot of sense thematically to me, plus their interactions felt organic and more grounded, so if there ever was going to be a “ship” in AOT, I thought it was pointing more towards that.
As for now, I’m pretty neutral on it because I honestly hate shipping and the people who make it a lifestyle; the most I involve myself in it is supporting the artists who get swamped by angry fucks and as well as my friends who ship it.
They’re cute together so I see the appeal, but it kind of lost its flavor after 139 and Historia as a whole no longer had any story impact so I don’t actively go about shipping them.

Honestly, looking back that’s true. AOT peaked with the Uprising Arc and then started on a swift decline.
People were excited to see “Character development” in Eren, but at the end he basically lost all character and became a mute boney boy only to degress back into the whiney brat people originally hated.
AOT honestly could have been good if Isayama wasn’t flip flopping during the Rumbling Arc, it’s kind of obvious he lost direction of his story and changed something about the ending halfway through because so much of that “get on Eren, get off Eren, get back on Eren” junk was just chapter fodder and could have been spent actually developing characters because honestly, most of the main cast never changed and stayed the same.
You think that the developments after the basement reveal were DOA in your opinion? Or that they should have done something different with the fallout of “humanity isn’t dead outside the walls”?

Honestly, the basement reveal was super interesting at first and the reveal of the titans being human was something foreshadowed, but it was nice to finally get the solidified truth. I'm personally of the belief that a few parts of the first Marley arc were decent, especially how Eren's breakdown with Ramsey made him human, something we wouldn't see again because as mentioned, all his character was basically flung out the window once his POV ended.
It's very Yeagerist of me to say, but honestly, the Alliance was one of the weakest points to the story namely because of how campy and "Marvel-like" it turned. That "To Save the World" scene gave me aids, as well as the pie scene. Plus, like all characters of attack on titan, none of them ever developed and I think the series as a whole suffered from trying to focus on all of them. The only one who really developed was Jean, but even then it was still just him growing into a leadership role, only to get replaced by Armin.
There was too much set up plot threads after the timeskip that never got addressed once the last few chapters rolled out. (Why did Grisha give Eren the founder, why did Historia keep showing up if not for plot relevancy, why was Mikasa getting those headaches that only happened when she questioned her bond with Eren, what exactly was the "Ackerbond" etc.) so as a concept, the developments were good, however Isayama apparently doesn't know basic writing skills or character development, so in the end that entire arc is just a big mess.

But, I think an interesting concept would have been to explain the "Church Of The Walls" more and dive into that. When I first heard Reiner and Bert speaking about their village, I thought that maybe they actually did come from a village beyond the sea of "Titan Supremist/worshippers." like a cult or such who believe the only true way to "reach a final stage in evolution" was if all of humanity became titans. It would play out in a similar sense, but without the WW2 themes because, let's be honest, those amounted to nothing in the end. Plus, making a cult the real enemy would have fit the "horror" aspect of AOT a little bit more instead of adding "War story" to AOT's genre.
But that's just my thought on that, I'm sure others have much much better takes.

I think "thinking about mr hands" makes a really good point about how there's lots of different directions the series could have went and every direction Isayama has taken was still salvageable up to the last chapter. I personally was stunned by the reveal but also quickly embraced it as the reveal was very much a real serious reveal rather than what I expected which was massive disappointment. At the very least you can't fault the reveal for lacking scale even if it was one of the biggest infodumps I've ever seen. I suppose Marley could have been humanized a bit more since the only decent Marleyans were Eldians. But that was already a side story I suppose, but it could have made the alliance at the end to defeat Eren and the Yeagerists more meaningful.

Thats pretty much what happens when you work for MAPPA. MAPPA literally runs their studios like sweatshops and would accept literally any project.
Well that's not fair to lay that all on MAPPA's doorstep. Japan is big on treating their workers like slaves. It's one of those really fucked up aspects of their culture no one really knows about.

Yeah I'm aware Japan's work culture is bad it's just that MAPPA is apparently worse at it

I strangely do want to see a/or draw manga panels with Naruto, Ichigo, and Kaneki...teabagging Armin. But alas, my artistic to-do list is pretty full. *sigh*

Are you kidding? Light’s meltdown is something you could use as a monologue at an acting audition. Eren wishes he could be like Light.
It is, but I was thinking more about the one in the manga, not the anime. I forgot the anime actually changed it quite a bit. In the manga, he gives a monologue before basically flailing, and flopping about in a puddle screaming he doesn't want to die as Ryuk writes his name in the death note.

I remember that too. I remember it feeling...pretty poetic. Even still, there looked to be a reason for Light Yagami to become a whiny little bitch.

Attack on Titan is still going? I'm sorry, but I have ADHD and the fuckin' TL/DR made my eyes glaze over (so thanks for letting me know my favorite murder midget Levi finally bit the dust in giant gay rainbow letters, I guess).

Is this just a general discussion or do I have to memorize the TL;DR before I can comment without being called a retard?

Holy shit I've never seen eyebags looking that horrible. He is going to die from overwork sooner or later.
MAPPA really is the worst of Japaese work culture at play

Attack on Titan's manga ended, and Levi actually survived. He may have died of old age or something offscreen at the very end but that's it.

The anime is still ongoing and the thread is active also because the fanboys (mainly those who suck the imaginary dicks of Eren and Floch) are lolcows

Oh ho ho? How delightful. I wanted to ask if there would be more of the anime (which I loved and managed to get into one of the special premier viewings of when season 3 hit in the US).

I just didn't want to shit up the lovely thread you guys have going if it was focused on something specific. Dunking on Eren fans sounds like my idea of a good time, tho.
