It's still my personal theory that he has some kind of drug addiction. It's a pretty good explanation for everything from his money blackhole to his behavior.

If anything, I expect at least one state soon (cough - California - cough) to get rid of driver's exams entirely due to racism/inclusion/ableism. Just turn 16, fill out your form online, and full license mailed to your house.

Feel free to rate me LATE but I want to bring back your attention to early this week when Phil lashed out his Kiwifarm rant during Danganronpa V3 live stream, essentially calling everyone on Kiwifarm Kokichis

For those who don't know Danganronpa V3, Kokichi is a character that self describes as "ultimate evil Supreme leader" and constantly lies to others, as well as commit heinous actions to others causing death.

No chance, imo. With Phil's impulse control and access to easy money, any addiction he picked up would be pretty evident to us, if not at the very least because Phil has access to the amounts of money that would easily buy him an OD if it was drugs. At most we've only ever seen him possibly drunk on camera, and heard stories about him smoking weed that imply he's never been in the same room as weed, let alone anything stronger. I think you underestimate just how much a whale in the throes of a song can spend, and just how exploitative the game(s) he chose to whale on can be.

tl;dr Addiction to drugs or gambling: it still triggers the same part of the brain, so we can see a lot of the same psychological effects of addiction, but we don't have any other physiological signs of a drug habit besides booze, and Phil is not the image of a full-on boozehound, or we'd have way better streams.

I don't think he's an alcoholic (yet) but he has admitted that he drinks a lot whenever he's struggling. That's like...the #1 risk factor for addiction.
It shows he has those tendencies at least, and explains his gambling addiction.

I recommend 30 seconds of DSP streams per day, so you can absorb the toxic waste safely!

About 5 minutes ago, Phil was explaining how he and his parents would go for an authentic Italian meal when he was young, and they'd share a small pizza to start before a pasta main.

5 minutes later, there was a rant about how Americans got their hand on Italian food and added heavy oils and cheeses, and created larger portions. Phil's 'understanding' of traditional Italian faire is that it is lighter and uses natural, 'robust' ingredients.

So, just to read between the lines and state the unstated here, Phil Burnell has never had authentic Italian cuisine, and has postured what he knows to be Americanized Italian cuisine as being 'authentic' for years. Thanks for clearing that up, Philberto Salvagno. Now drop the poser act.
