Minecraft

1.16 is excellent, and a bunch of mods are out for it that have been pretty nice. I really can't wait for a new version to be the "main" modded one to replace 1.12 since a majority of those mods are stale, bloated, and have way too much overlap with each other.

The mod I'm most excited about is Create, and it allows for actual moving parts. Just go pull up a video about it and you'll see what I mean.
 
So Twitter is mad at Notch because he said the Sonic Minecraft DLC looks like shit (which it does by the way)

I like how they always say "ratio" or "get raiod" but they never actually end up ratioing him lol, the whole ratio thing is a smug Twitter thing so it's not surprising but just wanted to point it out.

So I want to talk about the Chinese version of Minecraft because it's very interesting and surprisingly doesn't have that much documentation on it.

Something I want to note before I get into the version proper is that there was an exclusive mob vote for China and that's the reason why the Panda got added into the game.

Anyways this special version of the game made as a collaboration between Mojang and some Chinese company named "NetEase games", this version has a lot of exclusive content like new bosses, mobs, and a whole new mode.

The whole new mode in question is called "Apocalypse mode" and it's where most of the new content is located but there are still new things outside of this point (I'm pretty sure) as the inclusion of new sea life like jellyfish, whales, giant squids, and some others.

Okay back to the main focus the Apocalypse mode is accessed by making another portal but replacing some of the blocks with ice once you're in the dimension not much will seem to have changed at first but in reality, there are new structures with new bosses and a whole new storyline going on.

It's all pretty out of place and has really nothing to do with Minecraft but it was made as an exclusive experience for a Chinese audience so that's the reason why it's so alien to us.

Here's a pretty good video about this whole apocalypse mode thing, I hope more footage and documentation of it comes out in the future.

That Apocolpyse mode sounds very out of place for Minecraft's theme, but alright.

As a side note for anyone who owns Java edition, it is now time to transfer your account. Keep in mind that if you don't transfer it in time your account will be removed.

Yeah, I already brought that up in my post. The whole thing looks like a mod or something that Pixel Gun 3D would make.

Also, the thing has more story and is more interesting than anything Minecraft Dungeons has done

Anyways I personally just don't like how they get tons of new bosses and content when compared to us.

Like they also got a whole-themed mash-up back for them.

Wait do they even have the Bedrock version? If they don't then making a Chinese New Year (that they can't even get/play) is pretty funny

And if they do have the Bedrock version then is there a community workshop?

Since Microsoft owns Mojang, they're phasing out the Mojang accounts and making you sign in with your Microsoft account instead and won't let you log in/play/get updates until you do so. Naturally, not everyone can do this instantly or at the same time.

They claim you'll still have it; you just have to log in with your Microsoft account instead so Microsoft can get more useless data about you or something.

I have almost no idea what you're talking about, lol.

It's like a avatar for the game, but it's a Pokemon Go like game so it doesn't matter that much. I know they did the donut steel OC thing for Minecraft Dungeons so I'm guessing it's something like that.

I just want the spooky Shrek monster, that's all I cared about other then the Axolotls.

The goats are funny and the Axolotl are pretty nice. Amethyst and copper looks great, but I'm holding off looking for unloaded chunks until the latter part of the update comes when I can actually see the cool caves and the Warden mob.

Plus the telescope is great because RIP me Bedrock edition with no Optifine zoom
