Unfortunately that actually reduces how much of a filter GregTech is.

It's still a filter, just because you have covers and pipes doesn't meam you're left with 3-5 sides left to use for input and output, and it gets especially tricky when you want to do liquid crafting without AE2 liquid crafting modules. No sane person is not gonna use AE2 with Greg, storing all items and liquids in crates and tanks like a troglodyte.

It still reduces the logistical challenge and thus the filtering capabilities.
Not removes it- it's still Greg- but reduces it.
