Do you have the link to the study ? It actually sounds interesting
It wasn't far from the link.

Insert obvious joke about Bob's obsessive tweeting accounting for 60%.

As of today, Bob's profile claims over 250,000 tweets. I assume there are trillions of tweets, so it's still not a huge percentage ... but it's big enough to raise an eyebrow.

Has he ever done a purge? He seems only to delete stuff that's immediately embarrassing, which I'll actually give him credit for -- he's certainly not hiding who he is.

Pew data finds that 3% of the population creates 90% of all tweets sent. Only 8% of the US population is “active” on Twitter.
Wow it's almost like the Pareto distribution is a real thing that affects all aspects of life and....

Ah, who am I kidding. Obviously this means we must seize the means of tweet production and redistribute it to the oppressed proletariat.

Bob and co. don't just want politics to be in media, they want THEIR politics to be the main focus of ALL media.

They use the excuse that Drumpf being elected proves the world is teetering on the knife's edge of utopia and dystopia, and the only way to stop the coming genocide of trans PoC is for every piece of media to constantantly stop the show to reaffirm that "trans rights are human rights", but this is a lie.

In reality, Bob and co. are addicted to the dopamine rush people get when they see the media agree with their political stances and want to create a world where they can get their fix from literally everywhere at any time.
and that's where these exceptional autists like Bob go wrong on "muh politics in media", every single time. These smoothbrained blue curtain-analyzing crayon eaters think that the inherent political themes in like, say, Star Wars, are exactly the same as a character overtly preaching about an issue important to the galaxy brained blue checkmarks and the real world (such as a character outright saying capitalism is bad). To them, there is no difference; it's ALL "muh politics in media". That's why they don't understand, or choose not to understand, the difference between subtle political subtext (even the X-men when it was an obvious metaphor for bigotry against the blacks or even the gays was more subtle than today's woke bullshit) and outright preaching to the choir in a heavyhanded manner. People who know what they're doing know to be subtle about it because to the normies, the preachy style just sounds like being sermonized to in Church, and a lot of people don't like that and won't tolerate it - especially people that don't go to Church for that very reason. (And to be honest those of us who do go to church or whatever don't like it, either - on the basis of "who do these people think they are, preaching to us like this?").

This is one of the biggest arguments out there against the wokifying cancer destroying modern culture (both pop and high), and I think not enough people make it because it just feels too subjective. Whatever else, the quality is just not there anymore. Star Trek in the 60s had some pretty obvious messaging, as did The Twilight Zone, but that messaging was wrapped in quality story and quality characters. Claiming modern Trek or current day Marvel Comics or The Last Jedi's hamfisted bullshit is no different from what those franchises have always done is like saying your toddler's fingerpainting and Michelangelo's work are exactly the same because they both work in colorful paint.

Just my two cents on the topic, I'm expecting Disney to start massively cutting back on the budgets of the MCU films going forwards. They must have realised that the series peaked in popularity with Endgame and it's all downhill from here. I'll be shocked if the MCU is anything more a few C grade action movies and TV shows in another 5 years. Makes me wonder if Bob will spend the rest of his life claiming he was at the forefront of reviewing during the MCU and that even Disney respected his visions for the franchise. A part of me hopes his lives well into his 60s so we get to see him talking about the good old days when racism was defeated and the theaters were filled with capeshit.
outside of the X-Men and the F4, they don't have any major named heroes to build off of that are worthwhile film adaptations.
Maybe Blade and Ghost Rider if they can pull it off half-decently. Bring back Nic Cage for fun.

Honestly, if the MCU momentum is gone, I see a heavy reorientation toward the Xmen and Fantastic Four.

AKA thr only viable franchises Marvel had 20 years ago, pre-MCU.

Trannies in sports:
View attachment 2312220
1. I'm not sure if you can call people like Stéphane Bermon and Ross Tucker "scientifically illiterate".
2. There is no such thing as "laptic acid"; the mutation myth has circulated in tranny circles for a long time but I cannot find confirmation. At any rate it is moot regarding trannies in sports, because being male is not a mutation. BTW here is another rebuttal to the Phelps argument, written by another biologist.
3. Bobby links rejecting troons in sports to racism, which is exactly what Rhys McKinnon did. Do you want to be on the side of a disgraced diversity hire?
As far as trans athletes go, I think I might go for the accelerationist approach to this topic, and I say go for, put as many trans athletes as you can in women sports.

Either it won't make a difference because so far a lot of these trans athletes are seen as sub par competitors, or they start winning everytinhg and breaking records left and right and basically take over the sports. And if the latter happens, either women capitulate and their sports category change for good, or the backlash becomes so intense that it will finally put an end to this nonsense.

I know this accelerationism bullshit is gay shit from the 4chan larpers, but when people can't even come to a honest talk about the obvious differences in biology between men and women, and each side talks "science" as if they can't agree in basic truths, then I say let nature takes it's course and see what happens, just go for it.

I did not and would love to know more.

I also would like to know more about Noelle Stevenson conjugal drama please.

Some power level here, I was on my way out of California and the brief period I worked for some of the animations studios there (nothing big), but it was right at the time whene the buzz around Stevenson being apointed as a showrunner for the She-ra stuff came into news, and boy a lot of people had a lot of shit to say about this girl.

Most I heard was not personal, and she only worked as a writer for some stuff on disney channel and the gigs she got was because she was popular on the hey days of tumbrl, but everybody bashed her as untalented but full of herself.

Granted, animation professionals are made up of nothing put resentment and spite, and seeing someone in their early 20's running a show when you are 40 and still doing storyboards for tumbrl retards, yeah, you can see where the bile against this girl comes from, but I never heard much about her personal drama.

Don't know anything about Stevenson, but I've very recently been made aware of her wife Holly Ostertag, thanks to her Polygon article (of course) arguing that queerness in Lord of the Rings is totes intentional, and even goes so far as to muse that Tolkien himself had some homosexual attraction to a friend killed in the Great War. It's vomitous stuff, but as with most pieces of this nature it says a lot more about the author than the material in question.

Naturally, Bob follows her.

I really doubt that the average peasant who lived under Alexander the Great, Charlemagne or whoever would beg to live under a regime that is one step away from making thought crime illegal.
What's the point of church of it's going to be that hyper-political?
Black churches played an important role in black communities for a long time because becoming a minister was one of the ways a black guy from the South could advance in society. Of course, they got taken over by grifters in the same way the Civil Rights Movement did.
Bob is also a dyed-in-the-wool, fedora-tipping atheist who subscribes to the belief that the Catholic Church suppressed knowledge for the centuries following the fall of the Roman Empire
I'd love to put the ”we'd be exploring the galaxy by now if it wasn't for those dang, dirty theists in the dark ages” neckbeards and the ”the Abbasid Caliphate was a centre of enlightenment so let every Muslim into your country” SJW's in the same room.

I got the info from here on the Farms. It’s a bit vague, so take what you will from it. Also, the comic below is Noelle’s work.

Noelle is convinced her relationship is the healthiest thing ever, even though it's pretty clear her girlfriend hates her so much she insisted they try for an open relationship as an excuse to get dicked down. It's like an NTR hentai come to life, except it involves a sad lesbian.

Also, you’re definitely right about animators being full of spite and resentment. Noelle was one of them.

You could read about her upbringing on this article.

The strange thing is I have seen him argue differently. I remember he had a spergout over Spawn awhile back where he was ranting about how they have symbolism in that franchise but they never do anything with it.
View attachment 2313626
Spawn ultimately has a lot more symbolism in this department than the Aliens franchise does. But like every other opinion he has it all is shaped by whatever the current fight he's having on Twitter is over.
The fact that Bob doesn't think they "do anything" with the symbolism shows he's totally incapable of understanding subtlety or nuance. Spawn's entire story is an allegory for social inequality but his bloated ham brain can't process it. For him to get it, Spawn would have to take off his mask, look directly into the camera and blandly recit the first 40 pages of White Fragility. Then Bob would cry out "IT'SH UH MUSTERPIECESH" and slap his seal flippers together in awe.

The shallowness, self-absorption, and spiritual desolation evident in that essay are so profound I'd eat a bullet if I had to dwell on it for too long. I'd feel sorry for both of them if they weren't cultural Visigoths with a genital fixation.

Bob, reading the same essay: fap fap fap fap fap

I think half the problem with the galaxy brain blue curtain analyzing blue checkmarks is that in addition to the fact that they've been so indoctrinated into Blue Curtain Bogus Analysis that it's a reflex for them, they also think that the Normies are incapable of grasping subtle political themes in media and thus it needs to be hamfisted and hammer-bonkingly obvious, in the manner of woke bullshit that has little to no story or plot but all the focus on the "Have I told you I'm gay for the forty millionth time yet" characters and blatant real-life partisan political preaching.

See, the Normies are so smoothbrained in their opinion, that they couldn't possibly comprehend that Let That Be Your Last Battlefield (ST:TOS) is an allegory about racism/bigotry and how both extremes of position in that context can literally destroy a planet. Nope, because it aired in 1969 and racism still isn't solved, therefore this means it didn't work. So obviously this means that people actually have to chant BLM with raised fists and burn down a Walgreens and mention huwhite privilege or something for Normie to "get" it. I wonder if Bob has actually ever commented (intelligently or otherwise, lol) on Let That Be Your Last Battlefield.

EDIT: Holy shit, do you guys realize how close we are to hitting 4k pages on this thread?! And that's even with the DDOS

No, I think it's more of him buying the shit Seth McFarlane loves to peddle in Family Guy "If it wasn't fo Christianity, humanity would have advanced super fast by now!"
At least FG learned to STFU about that.
I'm exhausted with the "everything is politics" stance. This... discussion, if you want to call it that, that Bob's having about Alien is just unreal. Because a work contains symbolism, it means the story is about the symbols? That's his argument?

None of the fuckwits in this circle jerk have ever made an elevator pitch. If they had, they'd know the first thing you cut out is all your political crap because it muddles what your story is actually about. Worthwhile editors and producers will make you tone that down. Yes, there's uncomfortable symbols of rape and sexuality in Alien, but that has nothing to do with what the movie's actually about. That's all secondary. The movie wouldn't have succeeded if Ridley Scott put that bullshit out there on front street and made the movie ABOUT that, it works because those elements are so subtle that they warrant further discussion 40 years later. It's interpretive. You can argue the meaning of those themes. That's good.

In 2017, Disney pounded an aborted fetus on to Kodak film and called it The Last Jedi. According to RT, 90% of all critics recommend this film. In this movie, the story stops so the two most diverse actors in the story can tell the audience how capitalism is the real enemy. This isn't interpretive. It sure as hell isn't subtle. There's nothing to argue! The shitty script is telling the audience what to feel! It's insulting, honestly. If this doesn't demonstrate the current issue with modern film criticism, nothing will.

When done well, politics in film is present when the director gives you enough of a kernel to interpret. And more so, only if you want to. Beating politics into your script with a sledgehammer might kindle critical jizz, but it's probably going to kill your franchise.
Film Robbert and Co. are fellating the exact sort of evil megacorp that the Alien franchise depicts as the villains. Thinking any more about Wokie's hot takes on the series and the inevitable wokeification of Alien will just give me an aneurysm as it's possibly my favorite film series.

The thing about Rose Tico is that she's a complete retard who ends up hurting the people she stans for with her stupidity. The animals are just going to end recaptured or dead and the slave children beaten for letting it happen. Nothing needs to be said for her ruining one of Finn's only cool moments (even in movies Prog Karens always gotta keep the black man down). She actually she is perfect representation for the useful imbeciles she's meant to represent.

I realize that Christianity was instrumental in the actual Civil Rights Movement. Now it seems like a lot of black churches are just a denomination of the Democrat party. The point of church is to spread the Gospel of Christ. Every other "good news" is antichrist.

No wonder one of them wants the D.

A curious thing about this whole subculture that has taken over the "calarts kids" (even if they didn't go to calarts) is that a lot of them, more so the women, they have this obsession of being "unique", you know, they are always talking about how they were "the weird kid in school" and how they didn't dress like others, and what they like to watch is different and weird (but they all dream working for Disney), and there is certainly this idea that we see on the internet where people talk of "protagonists" and "mobs" and these animation kids desperately want to be seen as "the protagonist".

And sexuality definitly plays a part in this, and so we have this "everything is lesbian" thing, and how every women in animation is either bi or lesbo, when behind the curtains, a lot of the men brag about slipping the side shaved lesbian activist the D and she loving it.

Won't power level names because duh, but I've been in conversations with thse people where the topic was "lesbians you fucked", and sure, there was a lot of bullshit from a bunch of losers that make up the animation industry, but I don't doubt either that a lot of the so called lesbians do it for the"unique" status, and the bi bitches are just basic bitches who don't have a personality to go by.

So basically, dummies like Bob tell their friends "the blue curtains mean the author was SAD!" and then when their dreaded normy friends say "No, they don't" they decide they must be too dumb to get it, and when they write stories they feel the need to make everything as overt and obvious as possible. So, ironically, in trying make it clear how intelligent and mature their favorite media is, they only make it more infantile and stupid.

A great example of this would be the Twilight Zone. The original 60s version was as subtle as a brick to the face, but Jordan Peele decided to make it even more preachy. This strategy was so successful that you had to read this post to even remember Jordan Peele did a Twilight Zone reboot.

Indeed.

Which is why these people claim that Jesus was a gay liberal rabbi and that the ”Jesus Movement” was turned into modern Christianity by St Paul.
The marxists got into it like they got into everything, especially the Black churches (other churches were by no means immune but it got lots of traction there) and therein came "Liberation Theology" which is basically Marx in a priest's/pastor's robes. I get wanting to fight oppression, but Liberation Theology poisoned everything with woke bullshit, almost to the total exclusion of the actual Gospel.

Churches were involved in progressivism even from the "white" angle too, preaching the "social gospel" (this was mentioned in Canadian History) and many progressives back in the day, like "Bible Bill Aberhardt" (who created the Social Credit Party) and Baptist minister (and former Eugenicist) Tommy Douglas, leader of the NDP (an almost-communist party that grew out of the explicitly commie CCF) in the 1960s. Some of these people apparently didn't listen to Jesus' warning about wolves in sheeps clothing...

One wonders how Moviebob's beliefs (or lack thereof) would have been influenced had he been in a super-liberal church.

Liberation Theology is sadly very popular in a lot of the Catholic Church and it seems to me that a lot of the problems we face can be blamed on it.

The best solution to LT nonsense, as far as I'm concerned, is to put its proponents in a room with a couple of TFP members and let the resulting critical mass of autism sort itself out.
