Oh, btw: Exxon is also trying to tighten the belt to the tune of around $3.8 billion.
Mark Gilman, an analyst for ING Barings Furman Selz, also commented that they have still failed to address the serious issue of a lack of high-yield investments to sink all that money into.
Maybe don't pull examples out of your ass next time, @hood CASH.

@flossman Oh for a second I thought you were laughing at 60k a year because you thought it was a SMALL amount LMAOOOO. That's what I get for being so successful. If you really don't believe me look it up. It's not that strange, tech companies pay even more. I was being paid $6k/month at my last internship, and I had buddies that did internships at smaller oil and gas companies that were being paid even more. Looking forward to seeing how you cope with this.

I'm reading that starting salaries for CPAs are around $56k/yr. That's for actual accountants, not interns. You know, the "people in training" you talk about.

By... not caring and also not believing you? Well, there you go.

Still waiting on that whole explanation for how Exxon isn't kinda fucked right now, friend. You brought up the example that it's a great opportunity for interns to be so successful. This is your alleged area of expertise. Cmon, this is your home turf. You should be wrecking me on this one.
We're waiting.

Edit: Notice how he goes quiet the second we get into concrete, real world examples that can be challenged with actual data. What a curious habit for an accountant to have.

He is convinced that I'm going to burst into tears and give up all of my schooling because he keeps screaming about how he's "more successful." Hell, he seems to think everyone will do the same thing.

It's almost as if people can go into careers for more than just money, as if people have other metrics for success or happiness besides the amount of money in a paycheck.

Presumably it's because he's a supercilious ass, but he seems to think that everyone has to be the most successful. Nobody can be satisfied with the fact that other people are doing better than them.

I also like how he thinks you need a Master's to be smart. Obviously, Bill Gates should just bow down before Hoodie's obvious superiority - sure, he may have started a wildly successful company, but he dropped out of college! Clearly a low-achieving loser.

If you want to know about Big 4 internships which is what most accounting majors do:

The Big Four are among the top 5 best places to intern in the Businessweek top of 50 Best Internships, with Pricewaterhouse Coopers topping the list. Grant Thornton, BDO and McGladrey are other highly ranked choices for students looking to get a taste of public accounting.

I laughed when I read this. For you @sugoi-chan
However, internships at top rated companies are highly competitive – so don’t put off improving your resume until senior year.

From what I heard, big 4 people weren't being paid as much as I was. Anyways, I'm out for the night.

Still doesn't explain why you need three of them.

Good night, hood. Just an reminder to the thread, he spent another night here arguing with us instead of having sex...which he said he was totally getting Snapchat offers about.

Hey, he's the ladies man. Everyone knows how much women love a guy who constantly talks about how much money he makes.

That's nothing. You should look into this dude I heard about. Steve, or something. Dude fucked up in just about every possible way, and was bordering on bankrupt for like, forever. Even when he finally did make it, all he did was package existing technology with a shiny coat of paint and really good marketing. What a dipshit, right?
@Dr. Boe Jangles Esq. All you said was that interns don't get paid much at Fortune 500 companies. Basically proving you don't know shit and you're likely working at some tiny company as an intern that runs their social media page, akin to flossman.
And you have provided a single example from a company that is in serious trouble to back your claim. I'll even do one for you:
Phillips Mobil pays their interns the second highest rate, on average.
Research can be your friend. Maybe you'll try it next time you want to pretend you're relevant.

You should probably read a bit further than internship stats at some point. Might broaden your view on things. Good job dodging questions. Sleep well, and sleep alone, babycakes. ;)

Just remember, Boe, if you don't agree with him then you're a crybaby cuck who isn't successful!!!
Evidently. You think he'd at least do a little research, or even a google search, on what he's claiming to be an expert on.
Maybe a filthy library cuck can help him with that.

@Dr. Boe Jangles Esq. Buddy, I don't know why you're shitting on ExxonMobil so hard, linking analyst quotes like I even care or that it somehow changes how much they pay their interns. I didn't accept a job there. Why don't you go ahead and give me a full analysis of an earnings call and act like it somehow changes the fact that you don't even know how much interns at fortune 500 companies get paid because it's just so astronomically far from your own position in life LMAO.
