There are scientific studies that show that (on average) although women generally look for a man about their age, men look for a woman around 18-22, no matter what age they are. (which is not to say they generally succeed, but that's the preference) Biologically that'd make sense since fertility drops as women get older.

So in other words, if a man is handsome enough, rich enough, famous enough or all three, he can get what he prefers which is a younger woman because most ladies will take any of those three as long as he's generally a good guy.... although some don't care about that either.
