Hector is still posting, guess Near is getting attention hungry since the attention has died down and asked his friends to post again. Also acknowledged the "conspiracy" that Near isn't dead.
I wish that information that Hector lived in Tokyo as well was actually useful. The city is huge, so that information probably doesn't hold that much value.

The most we can glean is that they didn't live close to each other and mostly interacted online.

I think Near is feeding Hector posts to make. The following was extremely suspect to me:

It seems ridiculous that he would have ever told someone his wishes regarding donation drives/fundraising campaigns. More likely is that he's still alive and feels guilty seeing people give their money to a fake cause.

"OOoooOOoOoo, I'm hearing Near's Voice From Beyond The Grave Again...... and he says... Nooooo Fundraiserssssss.... And please respect my pronouns"

Any bits of info he drops are just specific enough to sound authentic without giving away any actual information that would enable someone to try and fact-check it.

Even the way he words it is off. "I've been told that Near's yadda yadda..." like bro aren't you friends? Couldn't you say "Near and I once talked about this specific thing and blah blah...". Unless he really wants people to think he's some kinda necromancer channeling the thoughts of the not-dead.

Kind of like someone is intentionally avoiding any crucial information on purpose, and has discussed with people on how to do so.
I guess the Academics DID respond for this gayop, and yet no matter the capacity. The gayop is still gay, and fake.

Either byuu left autistically specific shit on his gayop will (unlikely, considering anyone smart enough to do a gayop properly will know it's almost worthless considering the effort and the scope of goals needed) or he's actually not dead.

Well if they do I know damn well Null and the mods will take good care of us

it will also prove this: they’re all pedophiles
Because the whole "shutting down a subreddit I don't like by posting child porn on it and reporting it" didn't already.

I wish I hadn't had to seek out and try to connect Near's closest friends and next of kin as best as I can - across countries and timezones - first to try to prevent the tragedy in the few minutes we had, then to share our memories and try to understand what Near wanted.
Wait, but I thought Near's secret anonymous friend sat and listened to French metal for an hour while Near OD'd? And the anonymous friend had gone for sushi with him in Akihabara, but didn't actually know Near's full name? How did they know who his next of kin were?

Also didn't Near want his passport posted?

That all said, Hector is being pretty forward about the list of American citizens who've died abroad (which was pointed out here first) getting updated later this year. It'd be somewhat compelling if there is indeed someone who died from suicide in Arakawa, Tokyo on 27/07/2021 (although even more compelling if it isn't mentioned). Is he banking on this being far enough in the future that people will have forgotten, or is he being sincere? If the latter, why no other evidence?

(Also I thought Hector wasn't going to discuss this further...)

This means one of three things: either Near is telling him what to tweet, or he doesn't want a shitshow to come out when it's proven that Near is alive and people have fundraised for him.

The third, and least likely and most disturbing, is that Near has been talking about wanting to sudoku a lot, so this information is well known. Interesting how his "friends" never got him any help (if he's ded, which he isn't). This one in particular makes me think it's fake and gay, because knowing about his suicidality and doing nothing makes them seem callous and without care.

And fundraise for what? A charity? His family? Twitter trannies really like throwing their tugboats at weird gofundmes, don't they?

It's probably linked to how he keeps mentioning this anonymous friend. Since Hector's the only source of information, perhaps he thinks it's more compelling if it sounds like more people are involved rather than just saying he's the only one who knows everything about Near and also was on the call with Near.

Pretty sure he's referring to this, which was mentioned earlier in either this thread or the other thread.

Oh shit, that doesn't even show names.
Okay so hear me out, tinfoil time. What if Near knew a US citizen that had an hero'd in his town, and this is his big break. Would make sense if he actually is not dead, considering how confidently Hector is talking about this whole "death statistics" thing. Or I could just be autistic.

It seems like an incredibly specific piece of information to know.

There is the possibility of a fourth option, which is that Near specifically said that in his final call. But then I feel like that would have been mentioned in the anonymous google doc ("Near talked about his wishes...").

I mean, it sounds crazy enough for him to try.
