I met many men who were not manly at all but had some excellent womanly traits: they were beautiful in an androgynous way, great with children, compassionate and cooperative, or sensitive and thoughtful. I don't think Breadtube is scary in a way that it's intelectually superior, but it's kind of like an aggressive virus in that it spreads everywhere and soon you feel like everyone is infected. Especially in the sphere of social commentary and pseudo-philosophy.

There's plenty of more educational philosophy channels out there, it's just dry as fuck content which is why it's not popular. Carefree wandering is probably the most straightforward no politics philosophy channel, but it's very heady, and dry so unless you are really interested in philosophy you probably won't enjoy it.

I know in my case that when these idpol topics arise I choose my words very carefully, and any jokes have to be fucking water tight because despite my audience being majority right wing / libertarians I do have viewers in those demographics too and those topics are a language police mine field.

No, that's actually really good! I'm not too familiar with western philosophy (and I can always do with a bit of open mockery of breadtubers) but this is great. It's easier to learn something new or get a new perspective without being flashed by neon lights, costumes and misleading skits.

Their's also the issue of market saturation. the sheer number of breadtube wannabe's makes it difficult to get the clicks. Not in the least because its a very niche market.

BreadTube does not only have to compete with BreadTube; it also has to compete with thousands of commentary channels led by American middle-class progressive zoomers and millennials. Because I watch a few left-of-centre channels, I get recommended their content all the time. Examples:

Everybody on YouTube likes to whine about algorithms and subscriber purges. Do any of them entertain the idea that people simply do not care about their content enough to watch it? No person ever just forgot to watch their favourite content creator.

For once, I agree. The arbitrary boundary of weight classes should not be regulated. I want to watch a 55 kg guy get launched off the ring by a 110 kg mountain, just like in my Chinese cartoons. If nobody gets killed, there is no thrill.

Doesn't help that the Olympics standards for what qualifies as a woman are painfully retarded. Anyone identifying as a woman and has test levels below 10nanmoles per litre can participate in women's events. This seems good on paper but in reality it doesn't mean shit. There's male body building and powerlifting champions that had levels way below that. So the fact these women didn't qualify is arbitrary as fuck.

Carefree Wandering popped up recently. It is a channel led by Hans-Georg Moeller, an ostensibly Euro philosophy professor. I also recently stumbled upon New Discourses, a podcast by James A. Lindsay, an American mathematician. These are anti-woke, though, rather than apolitical.

They have shit scripts, shit delivery, shit presentation, shit editing, shit branding, and shit aesthetics. Nowadays, there are only potato-quality podcasts and live streams, which are horrible for attracting new and, more importantly, young watchers.
