How much of any of this violence is justified in even the slightest way? People worry so much about appearing right or wrong, they forget that appearing strong or weak is far more meaningful. But the end result is the same (though much less intense because as bad as globohomo might be it's not Mao's China) where the elites use them to terrorize the populace into submission while leashing the military and police from taking any meaningful action to stop them until they became too much of a liability for the CCP elite and were finally suppressed.
