Good lord. I hate rape themes in RPGs directed at PCs because in my experience it was never handled well. It was always treated like a joke like "Oh, the monk with the vow of chastity got raped, hahahaha so funneh!" So yeah, I'm against raping PCs. It's been handled better with NPCs, but when every single NPC you're supposed to sympathize with is a rape victim, it gets old. As for racism, anyone who can't handle an elf being called a knife-eared dandelion eater or a dwarf being called a rock-fucking stunty needs to get over themselves.

I straight up had an artifact called the negronomicon in my campagin i ran with a few of my uni buddies and they all thought it was pretty funny. Also rape in rpgs falls into the category of autistic power fantasies which is pretty cringe, I like to tell fun stories, not enable some limp wristed autist in having sexual agency outside of thier frustrating and bleak life.

I have a simple rule that I rarely break: If sex comes to the table, I leave it. That shit is ALWAYS cringe.

If it's something tangential like a roll to seduce that's blackscreened, or two characters having a romantic relationship in their downtime, that's whatever. But every time something sexual has been open it's been for the fetish fuel of the dungeon master or a party member.

I play with some fairly veteran TTRPGers and they've all seen at least one person try to spring a tentacle rape hentai monster on the party. I've also personally seen people bring characters to open tables and online RP circles (living world campaign type stuff) who have flist profiles and furaffinity RP accounts tied to them. The coomer menace is real.

These people have cripplingly low self-esteem. They're physically repulsive and psychologically feeble. This is the only experience of power they have in their pathetic wasted lives.

They have managed to attach themselves to a social movement that most people consider positive, so they are given power. They're in the process of fucking it up by being their toxic selves, though, so I wouldn't expect the goodwill to last much longer.

In some ways it was always kinda there man, its a game system inspired by the writings of robert e howard that was inked in the sixties by frank frazetta. Take a look at about half of larry elmore's art work and tell me it isnt coom bait. Its down to the player/DM to stamp that shit out wherever they go.

Sword thirsty lesbians and meatpunks's drawings look like steven universe characters in a contest to see who can get their parents the most pissed off. Both look like they were done on a shitty laptop in some crustpunk's basement. (I guess they very probably were)

The guy barely showed more than standard 80s fantasy skin. Frazetta's art was coom bait. So was Brom's. But Larry Elmore barely counts as erotic unless you're an Amish teenager jacking it raw to a photo of an exposed ankle.

Thirsty Sword Lesbians is just ugly. Scrolling through @Adamska's stream review there is barely any coom bait there either. The characters are by and large more covered up than your average male 80s fantasy protagonist. It's the opposite of old-school D&D: the art might have been racy in places but the text was straitlaced. What we have with these lesbians is tryhard "romantic" text with sanitized, ugly art.

At least on the first half of the book, anyway. I don't know, maybe on their next stream Adamska's crew will have to cover up some images to keep youtube from knocking the stream offline.
