From what I understand, they only started doing it after the big debacle over bronies potentially getting into it and them being called out on their hypocrasy over flipping out about bronies making porn despite them already making mountains of it. And even then, as other have mentioned they dont always use the Steven Galaxy tag to hide their porn either.

Recoloring "progressive" art regardless of franchise is the best way to trigger Tumblr these days. Or even better, drawing original pieces to piss them off.

They get all pissy about "spite art drawn by people who don't even like the show" but they're the ones that draw cutesy death threats with show characters. All of those mouthpieces with their eyes closed and banners.
