More than likely there was no point to it, it's just an extra unneeded expense since most people will be tuning in to see game trailers and not musical numbers.

I mean did anyone like all the non-game shit from E3 or Amazon Prime Dorito Pope Show?

Then again many people will probably also be watching to see if there will be announced console drops and queues like last time.

If Sony shows this at the State of Play after the negative ratings and especially after it came out the writer is a pedo who is still working on this game, someone at Sony needs to be fired. There seems to be a definite string of distaste when it comes to visual novels, Xbox booted many off their platform, Sony has censored many of them, and Nintendo's fans can't be forced to care about them and on top of that Nintendo even censored the main one they were promoting.

I really don't see them taking the spotlight due to them not being games in the first place. They don't move hardware and they have the added effect of driving many people away.

They've fallen in to the category of shovelware. This is for both eastern and western ones, people don't differentiate and both get treated with the same disdain.

I mean it does kinda show the limit that games can't be a pure story telling medium, especially since the whole concept of using it to tell stories came decades later after it was established. It wasn't there from the start like film or books.

I still can't believe that a bunch of austistic 4chan users were able to take this concept and actually do something fun and charming with it. I only got one ending and probably will take my time to sit through the game again because VNs aren't my thing but I can tell that even at its worst times Snoot game is more engaging that anything Volcano High could do.

Yes you're correct. They effectively require less work than a comic due to most of the stuff being regulated to text boxes. Where as the average page for a book may be 5-6 panels of stuff that needs to be drawn for 100 pages.

At this point many are becoming wise to VNs, they make up the majority of banned software on Steam. The audience who also play VNs specifically also don't tend to branch off into other genres because they're intimidated. There's very little cross pollination between the main audience of VNs and the audience other genres. At most they'll watch a game being played on youtube but won't actually play the game itself.

When the main thing you have to say about your game is that it's mega gay and the main character is a genderspecial, you know it's going to be good.
