- Every few hours a van with a PA system goes through my neighborhood, informing everyone that the vaccine is safe and effective and that they should go get it immediately. A similar announcement is made over the neighborhood PA in the morning and during the 5 o`clock PA test.

In case it's escaped your notice, literally everything the government does is at best horribly inefficient, and at worst a gross intrusion into your personal life. It becomes worse the more money and power you give them to do it. Republicans in DC don't care about this fact, and I've never met a single Democrat, politician or no, who doesn't loooooooove their government programs.

Oh phew, ok, I guess I just pictured something like that occurring in my quiet neighborhood, and it would just be very out of the ordinary, "wtf is that noise?.....uhhh It's a Pfizer van...." If the sweet potato man is using a PA van to literally entice you out to buy his big spuds (which is hilarious, but I am also jealous of that sort of service), it's something you are definitely used to. Totally agree! A big bonus is how the government always attracts the best and the brightest minds of the generation! I mean, of course they wouldn't be going into the private sector to use their skills to make boatloads of money, it's straight to elected representative! The sharpest most innovative minds are helping to form our society into it's best shape.
