The line of succession is clearly defined. President, Vice President, then Speaker. Speaker would only become President if the President is removed (or dies or resigns or whatever) AND there is not a Vice President. If Biden and Harris were both impeached and convicted then it would have to be before either one could appoint a new VP. We have precedent for this too, in October 1973 Spiro Agnew resigned as VP, less than a year later Richard Nixon resigned (they were forced to resign for two completely unrelated sets of crimes); so who became President then? It wasn't Speaker Carl Albert, it was Gerald Ford who Nixon had appointed VP between Agnew's resignation and his own.

I mean, the government is also allowed to set a curriculum. Obviously teaching the bible and all that church stuff would be unconstitutional but it's not inherently un-American to try to regulate what the schools teach. This is the same America where the red scare took place. Idk what he thinks a pro-America curriculum is (well I can guess and it's nothing good) but at the very least, the idea that schools should instill some patriotism into their students is not insane to me.
He could have at least tried to be consistent. He blamed China for the plague but also denied it was serious. Since he couldn't very well deny the bodycount (well tbf, that worked on a lot of his supporters), his message should have been that America is under attack and we need to fight by taking those terribly inconvenient measures and the culprit is China. His cult would then have been the most fervent maskers in the world. Meanwhile, the Dems would have been pushed into a corner between accusing him of xenophobia while both the left and the right are panicking over the virus and supporting his anti-covid efforts. Now that is an interesting hypothetical. If Biden is somehow incapacitated and Kamala is sworn in, there is no majority in the senate until a new VP is chosen. Now GOP senators tend to be more reasonable than the House but if all of them refused to vote for a replacement (since it would hand back the majority to the Dems), would we just be deadlock until the next senate elections?
