Somehow, I don’t think this is going to be as easy sailing as it seems.

Chris has little to no experience in air transit and the whole concept is much different from when he and Barb did that Cali trip in the 90s.

All that wouldn’t be a problem if his destination wasn’t so far away.

Why does he need to go to this specific convention?

Reading this thread and the comments on the video has been very entertaining.

Tha fuck is anyone trying to shit on Null for setting up a Gofundme when the man didn't even tell you to do anything with it and didn't even advertise it himself at first? If it isn't Null doing it, there's no way Chris would be able to do anything decently at this point or by himself. What then? He's stuck home rotting away? At least if he goes to this there's a chance for entertainment for everyone. Him and us.

'Tis a solemn undertaking Null did and if there's any a chance Chris will follow through with anything is by being guided by the nose. Even then it's never a guarantee.

I can see the genuine attempt at possibly helping Chris realize if he puts in the work, there's a reward. If he gives people commissions, he gets money to use on bills, food, toys, etc. Been too long with him forgetting that.

My only thing is that it should've been a proactive thing. Chris knows about the con and wants to go - hence needs money for travel expenses and such? Before the con, amass the money through the very same thing he is offering as reward for donating right now. Albeit Null has his own problems to deal with and doesn't live to tardwrangle Chris so I can see how that'd be more difficult than being reactive.

So hope Chris learns from this and actually makes good with what he is offering and that this is a stepping stone to him not being as lazy and maybe even get back to doing something productive and amusing.

Just my two cents anyways.

In all seriousness though, I am looking forward to seeing if Chris will keep up his promises, and if so, will he be more willing in the future to do work for things that he actually wants? This of course not being bills or essentials, but for his toys and video games (I guess it's a start...)

I genuinely think this could be an okay step in the right direction to get Chris to be more productive, seeing as he's not being forced into a real job, and this is all for something he desperately wants to go to. Naturally I may be too optimistic here, but I'd like to hope for the best.
