A big part of his past fanbase (and I bet even current listeners) mocked him for everything he did. Speaking for myself, having read & listened to his stuff for the past decade, I thought it was funny from time to time but I never took any of his advice seriously. You can find something entertaining without agreeing with it morally.

That being said, him constantly defending cuties wasn't that entertaining.

Everyone on this thread seems to have differing points during TDS's run over the years as to when their opinions of Dax soured and they stopped listening, but what I can gather is reading through this thread of ex-fans is they generally experienced a state of denial about how fake of a gigachad Dax's persona is. We all put up with his dumber takes and wrote them off as exaggerated or symptomatic of being in LA for too long.

I think what did it for me, though I should have fallen out months prior, was the tulpamancer dude calling in last November. It was extremely indicative of how Dick was struggling to find guests to call in after defending Cuties for almost half a year. This was the same man who during better days interviewed public figures like John McAfee, Doug TenNapel, Justin Whang, etc, people who had interesting things to say and made a name for themselves for better or for worse. I don't follow her though, i only pick up her activities when she has her more famous boyfriend signal boost her harassment campaigns and i only follow him because of the drama he was involved him a few years back that rumours stated Peach was the cause of, and he seemed the most likely to drop the deets. I feel stupid always complaining about Asterios for coming on and shilling whatever he was doing so hard in the Dickhead circles years ago, he had so much charisma compared to future frequent guests. Mint Salad drama is what made me drop the show, that and how fucking bloated every episode became. Same problem happening with WATP rn. Maddox's autism at least kept BPTIU stuff short enough, so that we didn't see enough of these terminally-online people to start throwing the DSM at them.

I was just thinking about Peach the other day and thinking how she was one of the only female streamers that tried to be halfway decent and make the best of her small following, but I guess that just isn't the truth. As far as the hooking thing goes, I believe it's because when dick went to Japan, he met up with peach there and she took him to some prostitute island or something. A couple of users chimed in with the idea that the only reason she would know about that kind of place would be because she works there.
