Not really warcampaign. They are more in the role of doing what TUG used to do for Ethan. Their role in things now seems to be to terrorize anyone who steps out of line with an "investigation" directed their way. And in the course of the investigations, their special friend @FROG will step in to offer his take on the situation and tell the farm animals what they are supposed to be thinking. Their role is also to get their hands dirty in ways that Ethan would prefer not to. Vikki and Dean are openly acting as Ethan's little helpers now. There is no reason for anyone to pretend otherwise. And really. So what?

There is nothing good or bad about it. This is just how comicsgate works. Its all about a bunch of people scrambling and fighting against each other for spots higher up in the grift. And being a close friend of Ethan is as high up in the grift as anyone can get. ALL of these people would do the same thing if they got the chance. Especially Testefy for example.

There are no good people in or around CG. They are all bad. Vikki and Dean are doing the same things as Ethan's minions as they did when they were aligned with Preston. They all want to become bigger e-celebrities and sell more e-celebrity merchandise. its the same "choose a side" mentality that has been there since 2017. It doesn't matter what side you choose, it only matters that you choose one side or the other.

If Ethan, Warcampaign or TUG disappear, something else will always rise up to replace them and do the same thing. Nothing will ever change. And one of the few good things that can be said about @FROG is that whatever would rise up to replace him would probably be far worse. The people in comicsgate inevitably only go after and harm only each other.

The problem isn't any of the individuals, the problem is the whole stupid and toxic culture around comics. It always breeds alpha-nerds like Ethan and armies of people in competition to be their simps.

Its just the cycle of life. Vikki and Dean have become FROG's new minions. Testefy is now "anti-CG' on the outside looking in. If they exchanged roles within CG in six months, it would not be surprising in the least.
If Dean and Vikki are suddenly aligned with Mecha again, it would not be surprising.
If Vikki weaponizes her now considerable following of idiots, that would also not be surprising in the least.


None of this is about comics. Its about e-celebrity and pushing merchandise for the simps to buy to show their loyalty to e-celebrity.
And its boring.....

I'm curious about the nature of VikkiVerse and DA Talks relationship with Frog too, but there's several obvious flaws in your theory.

Firstly neither Vikki nor DA Talks are monetized and probably never will be. It's a long march to 1000 subs for many of these obscure Comicsgate channels, the majority of which will never reach it. If grifting was their end game then they are doing horribly without ad revenue, super chats and their own comics to shill. It would be far more lucrative to rebrand into something else instead of covering niche drama, about a niche movement, within a dying industry.

Secondly to my knowledge Frog's appearances have been sparse and usually only relate to a topic involving him, the Comicsgate trademark stream comes to mind. Since they've styled themselves as some type of CG reporting channel, why not bring on the subject of your stream if the topic involves them personally? Since they've started their new joint channel with a measly 150 subs, Frog hasn't appeared once on stream or in the chat.

Thirdly they still produce content that is critical of Comicsgate, most notably reporting on the 7.2 million dollars currently tied up in unfulfilled books, the interview with overdue Shinobi Sasquatch artist Rob Willis and most recently the decision by Zack to launch Knifehand while his other books remain unfulfilled. Hardly content that your typical CG shill channels would put out, other than the Zack take since his fuckups are too large to ignore.

I would simply chalk this warming of relations between them and Frog down to circumstances.

• Warcampaign is long gone and so is much of the criticism leveled against Frog. It's hard to stay mad at someone for reasons you can hardly remember yourself, especially when the cause of most of those reasons has now been dealt with.
• The deterioration of relations between them and Preston Poulter and the small handful of fools still stupid enough to remain in his orbit. Perhaps Vikki and DA Talk's hatred of Preston eclipses their distaste of Frog? I don't assume to guess, but given the lawsuit I'm willing to wager it.
• The lawsuit itself, why spend your time alienating someone who is currently sharing in the same situation you are? Presenting a united front against a common foe is hardly a bad strategy, whether or not it is all just a façade.

I'd say this new relationship between them is more one out of necessity and convenience, rather than some elaborate gay op where Vikki and DA Talks are now the new versions of Pan and Ro. Of course if they start super-chatting Frog with "HAIL CAESAR" and spamming Tim Lim with dildo memes, I'll reconsider my assessment.

The co-litigant status of them together for example. And in the current situation, FROG doesn't care one way or the other about anyone calling themselves comicsgate as long as they are not directly impacting his own personal business or his close friends. Like lets say Cecil. Open season has been declared on Richard, but anyone started messing with the JACK show, the reaction from FROG might be different. Like it was different the last time someone dared call out Malin & company.

3) I'd wait and see. Things have happened. For example, the July 2nd Tweet by Vikki:

"I've been hearing about a few indie creators getting too big for their britches. Why would you WANT to give
@heroesofletters and me content? I mean we appreciate it and all, but maybe just put your nose to the grindstone and do your work rather than starting lame ass drama?"

Not a good way to phrase things.

Maybe are aligned actually. Ro appears to have been the only person who has openly donated to Preston's legal defense fund. But warcampaign is dead and what they do doesn't matter anymore. Giving preston $20 was better as ironic humor than it was a serious display of support.
And maybe Ro intended the donation as a joke all along. But he usually isn't that clever.

LOL, no. I have mugs on TeeSpring . I have been quite open about the fact that I don't profit from them and that the proceeds go to indy comic creators' Patreons. I didn't push those 'CVNT' mugs. The Etsy's did. I never asked them to. I don't even mention them on our streams.
