This is so much worse than AGP. It's terrifying. Imagine the psychological toll of waking up to your own impersonator every morning. And it's not just some stranger who's obsessed with you and wants to look like you; it's someone who already knows your mannerisms, your likes and dislikes and defining characteristics. You have effectively been Single White Femaled by your own husband, who is now your wife. Let that sink in.

I was saying like 15 pages back that trannies became a topic for no reason on a christian fundamentalist snark subreddit that I read for a few of the cows they discuss. Like, there is literally no reason to talk about them there and I couldn't believe this small but fucking horrible subset of people becomes a topic wherever I go no matter how unrelated it is. I swear, I could take up knitting, find a community for it and someone would start preaching about how we need to elevate trans voices in the knitting community.

Anyway, I predicted that this would open the floodgates to more tranny posts on that subreddit. I just wanted to say... took them one day and they're arguing about troons again.

I want to tell him that the corndong certainly isn't worth it. All of those "empowering" platitudes but at the end it just look like someone got attacked by a rogue weed wacker.

Like, i get why TIF want a dick, it's, suprisingly, a big thing among dudes to have one. But i don't get why they don't understand that what surgeons will sell them is NOT a dick but a piece of lovecraftian horror.

Isn't phallocentrism rather regressive anyway? I can't imagine the pain they must go through to let themselves get butchered that way.

But i am morbidly curious to know how those surgeries hold up after ten years and more. The art of the fake shlong is brand new. So many ways it can age badly.

Phalloplasty is honestly as much of a horror show as vaginoplasty. Every surgeon has their own technique (which ought to be a massive red flag in the first place) but in general they pick a section of skin, typically from the forearm, leg or back, cut it off, Frankenstein it into a tube and sew it onto the nethers. You can either get it perma-erect with a plastic insert or do it on demand with a balloon and an air pump. Because the skin has hair follicles you have to either shave it or get it lasered. Using it is risky business because you're up a creek with a bloody paddle if it tears. Plenty of opportunities for some very serious nerve damage too. Have you ever considered what it's like to not be able to pee because the nerves are jacked up? Plus, as with any surgery, there's the chance of rejection and infection, something I know I'd be excited about in an area with so much sensitive tissue.
