Obscure game you have played - What have you played that you think, maybe, nobody else here has played?

Very few have played Arc Rise Fantasia or Luminous Arc, but I love those games. Even imported Luminous Arc Infinity because no western publishers had the balls to localize it.
Those who have played those games: u my nigga

Axel and Pixel is a simple point and click with some wonderful backgrounds and a ton of charm

War of the Roses was medievel combat game with a fighting style like Mount and Blade. I fucking loved that game but the shithead devs killed it.

I picked up Arc Rise Fantasia sometime last year, but it got lost in the backlog. Glad to know it's good.

Also shout out to the dude that posted Solar Winds. I remember playing it on DOS many years ago and not being able to figure out a Goddamn thing.

While maybe not obscure, Genji: Dawn of the Samurai for PS2 was pretty much completely forgotten immediately after it came out and totally overshadowed by the PS3 sequel; the game infamous for "giant enemy crabs. It's a shame, because the original is a seriously good hack and slash.

Monday Night Combat. LOVED this one when it came to Steam but the devs refused to address balance including bad turret placements. Then made the game worse that killed the player base. And then released some fremium bullshit called Super Monday Night Combat that sucked and later still added a patch where it used player's video cards for bit coin mining.

The devs are still chugging along with a skeleton crew now.

POWER BLADE 1 & 2 (NES)

I have no idea why these games aren't considered classics, they're some of the best action games of that era.
You play as a boomerang throwing Arnold Schwarzenegger.
In the 1st game, you're fighting an evil AI.
In the 2nd, an evil corporation controlled by aliens who want to conquer Earth.
Good graphics (for the time, of course), great music (especially in the 2nd game), and good gameplay.
What's not to love?

Playthrough of PB2:

Music from PB2 stage 3 (I had this stuck in my head for the last 25 years, it's a banger):

Didn't SMNC completely change MNC's gameplay and turn it into a MOBA or something? I liked TF2 too much to get invested much into MNC or Fortress Forever, but I remember development being dropped for MNC with the release of SMNC and nobody jumped ship to the new game.

That and P2W bullshit common for fremium games. I checked and the devs rebranded themselves as Star Theory Games and are working on Kerbal Space Program 2. They most likely changed the name to escape all the bad press they've caused themselves.

I just remembered this: the devs promised releasing mod tools for Monday Night Combat as well. They reneged on that and refused to address it. It was made on UE3 so they could have done it but they jewed out with Super Monday Night Combat.

With Fatshark it always felt like they were one drafty window away from dying. With a lineup of games like Lead & Gold, Krater and War of the Roses I was always surprised that they continued to exist, in my mind they were the corporate equivalent of a skeletal AIDS patient though. When "Escape Dead Island" was released I thought they were done, 100%, healthier developers have died from less and Fatshark could not have been in great shape.
Now they are the Vermintide people, good for them.

I was just reminded of 4D Boxing, it was really cool. Like a proto-qwop. Like rockstar.exe I played that one quite a lot.

Played many, including some really obscure ones like Czech zombie horror game, Bloodline, which I also want to make a thread about, if anyone is interested.

Pokemon "My Ass" version, A fanmade ROM based on firered/leafgreen just a silly game for those of us that grew up with the GBA

I posted in the "First FPS game you've played" but it's also one that I'm surprised no one listed. It had cool guns, jumping, gore and weird stuff!

Ninja Five-0 on GBA was fucking rad as hell, super rare now too. It's like if you mixed bionic commando, shinobi, and rolling thunder together.

Soulbringer.

Early 2000s rpg (I got it packaged with Planescape: Torment back in the day) it had promise, but the combat and magic system was kind of janky and the voice acting was pretty poor. The atmosphere of the game I always liked however, trekking through snow covered moors in the dead of night just appeals to me for some reason. I'd always play this a little bit during my winter vacation from school and then not touch it until next year.

I bet most of you never heard of this hidden gem but this is probably the most obscure game I played. It's ones of these games with a certain structure and delves into topics related to what the title implies. It's amazing that this game could actually run on Windows 10.

I always wondered what exactly killed this game cause I have a special place in my heart for smnc despite its major shift from the first one.

Honestly the game was too charming and its a really sad to see it be considered just a tf2 clone.

Despite being delisted, you can still people try logging in to play it again on the steam forums. Not too much you can do outside of organizing a match with the other deranged players or bots, but damned if I could play shit like Wascot or laughing at nearly everything the Sniper says.

Also the OG announcer was way better than smnc.

I always thought Monday Night Combat was better.
