Plagued Consoomers / Consoomer Culture - Because if it has a recogniseable brand on it, I’d buy it!

Not even a Nintendo sperg and I can tell you this is patently false, all of their mainline franchises are about as quality as they've ever been. I enjoyed mario odyssey way more than sunshine or galaxy, while I was never super high on BOTW after returning to it recently I have to say its by far one of the best open world games made in the last decade, Pokémon is Pokémon that's never changing, Smash bros was good I'm not a smash autist so I really can't even tell major differences between releases besides roster changes, Mario kart is still enjoyable, need I go on? Seriously I get that Nintendo are fucking retards on the corporate level but that doesn't mean their games are bad. As for the switch I really don't like the portability and wish there was an option to have an upgraded home console version, but nothing is perfect.
"I bought Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, Mario Kart, and Fire Emblem for my Nintendo system."

Is this a quote from 2001 or 2021? The fact that it could be for either is why Nintendo is declining. They should try making, I don't know, some new IPs.

Yes what they need to do is follow microsoft and start pumping out games like Halo, Forza, Gears of War..... hey wait a minute. OK OK really what they need to do is follow sony and start pumping out movi..I MEAN GAMES like Uncharted, God of War, and Spiderman... hey wait a minute. First party exclusives are a joke at this point, but seeing as nintendo only has first party IP's its a pretty valid criticism.

What I would say is that they're pretty consistent about shaking things up, they'll often introduce a mechanic in one mainline entry only for it to be completely absent in subsequent entries forever or for a number of games regardless as to whether people liked the mechanic. Hell some of their mainline games don't even have a similar feeling to them outside of vague generalities, most of the 3D mario games feel completely different to play and mechanically are so unique that if you changed the character models and name most people probably wouldn't realize what it was a direct sequel to. They've introduced some new franchises, Splatoon being their biggest hit that being said most franchises flop or just fizzle out regardless of who makes them. A large part of marios, zelda, metroid, etc... success as game franchises aside from the generally consistent quality can probably be traced back to their origins on the NES. The NES being the true first home console had the advantage of first mover securing a legacy for any popular title on it. If it ain't broke don't fix it, and if its good don't do a yearly release schedule.

I can't talk to the 'goodness' of these series but Arms, Daemon X Machina, and Splatoon are recent IPs. Pokken is also a decent twist on their Pokemon IP same with the XCOM styled Mario Kingdom Battle game.

Dr Martens fucking suck since they outsourced their manufacturing. Solovairs are significantly better quality and aren't even that much more expensive considering they're made of better materials by people earning first-world wages, mine were maybe around €25 more than Docs in the same style.
For work boots I've always had good luck with Carolina and Red Wing, they're well worth the money.

I followed the Kevin rabbit hole into a new brand of lefty bullshit and thought it was too funny not to share here. Has the class struggle got you down? Just remember that if capeshit was real, there wouldn't be any poverty or racism or whatever, for unspecified reasons!

Or bringing back IPs they don't use like F-Zero. It's probably just a rumor, but allegedly the reason there hasn't been any F-Zero games for so long is because Nintendo execs worry it will compete too much with Mario Kart.

And we haven't had an actual new Mario Kart in 7 years, seems like they could have fit a new F-Zero in between. Some people thought there would be a Mario Kart 9 announced if Nintendo did a new Switch instead of the letdown Nintendo did announce. Now I can't see a new one before maybe the end of 2022.

Almost sounds like when they were pulling their typical "artificial scarcity" thing with the NES/SNES classics, then acted as if actually making enough for the people who wanted them would somehow be competition for the Switch.

Nintendo gets people to buy the same Pokémon game two times every time they make a new one this really can’t be the reason right?

Cope, and I wouldn't exactly define a person with roof over their head and never going hungry to be poor. Revolutionary stuff are luxuries to make life easier. Fridges were something only rich people had back in the days. Computers too.
If there never came out something new on the market, that were expensive at first. Technology would never go forward.

im sorry if this is a stupid question that was already answered. but I must ask this

whats the difference between a consumer and a fan or enthusiast

if their is no difference then arrant we all consoomers
Consoomers have no real identity outside of consuming, fans enjoy things but have a job/school/hobby/pastime that has nothing to do with their media choices.

Consoomers also blow money on worthless shit just because it's movie/vidya/etc themed.

A normal person might play gta or Nintendo games with his bros on a Friday night, a consoomer will buy a wall full of cj and waluigi action figures, never shut the fuck up about it, and run multiple fan accounts despite living off of mombux

When it comes to consoomers, one of the first figures that comes to my mind is the DC Fanboy Andre Cedeno

This unironically fills me with dread. I am not exaggerating for funnies when I say those photos make me genuinely uncomfortable and I would not feel safe there.
You know how there's that scene in American Psycho where the guy asks Bateman "Why do you have all these newspapers down? You get a puppy?" It's like that. Seeing something like that is the sign that something is terribly wrong in that house.

There really is something about that room that is deeply unsettling. It feels more like a hobby store than a home. Imagine you walk into someone's house and that's their living room. You'd rack your brains for some excuse to leave, or just bolt for the door. Whichever works.

You just know the guy knows the 'lore' behind every one of those Dr Who monsters too.

'Dude, dude that's not just any Cyberman'
