General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

However this could be some sort of insane management issue on Hololive's part as Nijisanji has really lax management in which case, Hololive needs to get it together.

I don't think that's the case considering Amelia, Ina and Mori were able to hop into the Gura's stream when she wanted to try TNT launching.

I think most of them are just burnt out from Minecraft since it's been close to one year since they have played it; Gura for example has streamed Minecraft 34 times compared to her favourite game DBD which she streamed 11 times (yet people complain that she has played DBD a lot).

Also keep in mind that the EN server is barren and boring, and 5 people can only do so much, so they might be more willing to hop in Minecraft when they manage to connect with the JP server

If you just want to track the number of videos, and not any details about them, it's pretty trivial. Script to contact the Youtube API, simple HTTP, there's an automatic playlist called "uploads" for every channel which is all of their videos. Cache the count of videos from that playlist, compare to the last time the script was run, notify if fewer videos than before. Cron it every hour or so.

Actually I might be interested in doing it (in a few days, after an unrelated side project), if anyone has a list of links to noteworthy indie/small-corpo channels to keep an eye on.
However:
- This would only be Youtube, no Twitch indies (I've never even looked to see if Twitch has an API, let alone used it)
- It's probably too late for HoloEN Gen 2 anyway, if they're debuting in a month.
As a basic idea, and a way to start, that sound good. However, later on down the line what would be the likelihood of expanding it further for tracking stats and whatnot? A way to see any statistical trends, as mentioned before.

Again, this is just an idea over something to actually act on. Apologies if me mentioning this is at all annoying.

I've been watching all the entire stream so far but yeah, she going to get a lovely surprise if she attempt's to make this in the EN server. The only issue with chat is where there are so many people watching you cant follow one bit of advice as there so many answers being thrown around now.

I nearly forgot the launching Ina with TNT to the moon kino stream. Fuck.
The EN server being barren and too boring for guerrilla collabs is a fair point. Nijisanji EN is on the Nijisanji World server (which is shared by Niji ID, JP, KR, IN (rip), and now EN) which has prebuilt stuff EN viewers likely have never seen and also has antics like Pomu and Finana raiding borrowing supplies from the Island of the former India branch's house.
Though even then we still have shit like Pomu and Finana constantly (guerrilla) collaborating for horror kusoge streams or when YT streaming shit the bed a few days ago the 3 girls guerrilla collabed on Twitch which is where we got Finana's horrifying "Egg package" story.

How based is this rabbit, might actually make me break my autistic Holo brand loyalty
Speaking of, since the escort story was posted here and seeing some Finana clips, I've kinda started having curiosity about Nijisanji.

Finana seems kinda like the lewdness of Vshojo but in a funny, unfortunate "I'm caught being a pervert" sort of way.

I've grown to like NijiEN much more than HoloEN. Pomu's birthday was yesterday and it was just a nice turn on, do stuff, come back type show with all three getting lost in Minecraft, a game I really don't like outside of HoloJP's crazy world. Finana is reaching this pure idiot sister level you only see in anime and the whole group feels like they take turns getting clowned on and not getting upset about it or acting fake. During the spicy noodle stream each one shit talked the others in a pretty fair amount that almost felt like they were guys and it never felt like they were going to run to twitter to feel sorry and get sympathy. This is why I was hoping whatever EN2 isn't this month but another month or two because the three have shown what would be normal growth when you do good content if HoloEN didn't so drastically inflate numbers.
If you think Vtuber is like soccer then Hololive is like Premier League or La Liga while Niji is like Bundesliga (it is still pretty good but less well known) then having big numbers is not that strange.

It could be extended as far as the information the Youtube API provides, which is decent but lacking in some areas. Probably anything worth tracking is already tracked by SocialBlade or whatever other sites, I was just thinking of the "notify us if indies delete large swaths of videos" angle, and then go to existing tools for the details.

Either way, I'm not really going to start anything unless there's a good list of indie channels to watch for deleted videos (I don't really follow enough indies to even begin, so to me, that's the "hard part").

Just a reminder to everyone to archive their shit especially when it's something a person might try and erase later. Twitter screenshots are cancer and do not count.
How do you even know if your favorite streamer ever make the big league in the first place. Most people enjoy free content and watch the vods rather than bothering archiving stuffs. Unless your contents are so curse that your fan had to archive just in case (Haachama)

I was talking more about the Twitter screenshots which are easy to archive even on mobile and easy to fake or claim was faked. We can all love the based bunny all we want but talking about the farms positively is a prime target to be memory holed.

I know this is in off topic so everyone is less autistic with "archive everything." But one thing I love about the farms is that mentality.

While Japanese fans are rather fucking crazy there are also lunatic schizo english fans too. I've gathered a bit of info on one that has been whaling and reply guying to NijiEN, Phase Connect, and Prism Project. Might post about him later when I get my information sorted to look presentable for Kiwifarms.
I hope you do. I haven´t yet branched out much from hololive, but Shiki Miyoshino from Prism Gen 3 really caught my eye. Sadly the superchats are insuffrable attention whores and i had to close her last stream. I hope with time she will reign them in, because i really like her personality but the dumb shikidew jokes consumed that stream.
