I seriously, seriously, seriously doubt he trained anyone and it was more he just shot with them. If he did, it had to be some fresh out of the academy retard that didn't know any better.

I'm just saying what it seems is on the video. I don't find it hard to believe that some SWAT or other accepted a solicitation for him to teach them how to shoot faster.

Edit: And alot of these SWAT teams are decked out like delta force these days with 1033 programs. multicam everything and all that. It'd be easy to imply they were a "team".

Considering how even small PDs and sheriff's offices have "SWAT" teams now, I wouldn't be surprised if he had actually been employed to do some training for some team in Buttfuck, Tennessee. Without him telling us where it was, and without any evidence one way or the other, we'll never know.

Thats not how that works though, they'd have to go through an accredited and possibly agency approved trainer or company. Yea, not every department can wrangle the funds for that, especially the smaller ones... But no ones going to go to be approved to go to some instagram gear queer for training without credentials.

That's not so say an officer couldn't do it on their own time, but why spend your own money and ammo when the department will pay for you to go and shoot?

Most likely some podunk sheriff department borrowed his range. Botkin is a spoiled rich kid with a dad who is somewhat of a local figure, so his dad hobknobbing with the sheriff and inviting them to come shoot at his range wouldn't be weird.

He isn't good enough to be a shooting trainer, unless you count being a safety or range trainer or something. Seriously. Go to a regional USPSA match and you'll see plenty of more impressive feats, with a lot more movement and less silly head ducking and press checking. Your average cop isn't a fantastic shot (nor is your average .mil member) but most guys on SRT / Swat teams are much more enthusiastic and practice and shoot a lot more in general. They won't get much out of it other than trigger time (which has a quality of its own).

Now if he said he had the local training officer bring the remedials out to get some practice in before annual qualifiers? Sure, I'd buy that.

The fact that he is constantly criticized for his trainer claims yet never posts anyone he has trained with or any videos of him during a training class- like every legitimate instructor of any renown does- is telling.

A big problem with TrexArms and a likely source of backlash, apart from his parents which a lot of his fans think might be the cause of criticism towards him, is that he flaunts his implied credentials as a trainer the same way people wear "Vietnam-Era Veteran" caps and makes it out to be a huge thing and it's likely the sole reason he's a big name.
"hurf durf shooting not tic-tacs" people need to stop saying that, he's a soft faggot and I'd rather learn from Chuck Pressburg, Clint "Braces should be illegal" Smith or even James Yeager, they actually do shit other than tell you how to game paper targets 10 feet away.

my house got surrounded by paper targets once and I shot my way out using Lucas' not-tactics (though it looked better when I replayed it in 1.25x speed)

I tried his technique but I forgot his fundamentals of aiming halfway through and my front sight kept lagging. I need to invest in some broadband internet connectivity before a stack of looseleaf flies out of the sky to attack me.
