ASAP Science is one of those channels that started out alright to ending up being really shitty. He went from answering Cliché questions that you could get from other sources of the internet to making videos about stupid unnecessary topics while spewing out political correctness bullshit. The people who run the channel looked like Cliché Hipster Soyboy Cuck Nerds too. I completely lost interest in them when I found out they were part of Creators for Change.

Never heard of this channel before, and I didn't recognize any of the thumbnails when I visited his channel a moment ago – but I skimmed through a few videos and I definitely agree with you now.

At least the comments and dislikes in his China Virus vaccine video give me some hope:

Since this thread is active again ill chime in. Joseph Anderson, i cannot fucking stand him, i used to really like his content when it was just the reviews (even though his analysis are bottom tier at best) then i started looking into him. Holy fucking balls is he a faggot, i started by following him on Twitter which was just the most milquetoast, left wing opinions on top of a lot of whining about his (((mental health))). I mean come the fuck on your a youtuber you've been editing a video series on the Witcher for the past three fucking years & your complaing about your mental health, this isn't even some basement dwelling neckbeard (although in his old house his wife literally put him in the basement) he has four kids. Not exactly the best messaging to be giving your kids is it: "its ok kids if you get stuck in life just powerlevel on twitter about how depressed you are & milk your patreons for another month while you re-edit your video for the fourth time because CyberPunk was shit so i need to include that in my Witcher video".

Then i looked into his streams. He is the worst streamer i have seen in a while, he has a legion of spergs that give him shekel's so he will sit & read donations for two hours out of a six hour stream then he will have three 15 minute breaks. So he is only streaming just over half the time, that is if he isn't arguing with his chat over some dumb shit. Take his Persona 5 stream (next part is spoliered because its about the plot twist):

He argues that the plan against the villian (Akechi) couldn't work because the fake body of the protaginst wouldn't be found & he would be alerted to the plan. Chat explains how he is moved into the world where the fake body is so noone would be able to alert him of the one missing in the real world. He then stops the stream, calls chat entitled & argues with them for two full hours. Then at the start of the next stream argues with chat for yet another hour.

Another example of this fucking spergery is in his Danganronpa stream where he argues with his chat for another two hours (with no game progression) about if some sprinklers could go at a certain time. The guy is a sperg of the highest order & the only reason he doesn't have a thread here is because his streams are literally too boring to get through unless your using them as sleeping aids.

well, now i know why he dosent make videos anymore. he fell for the stream meme. i knew he had a kid and just moved into a house years ago but he has FOUR kids and provides with youtube and streams!? thats crazy! i knew he was a bit of a sperg but no idea he acted like this on stream. what a guy.

Vtubers. I never get the appeal of Vtubers other than attracting simps. We already have simps going gung-ho on Twitch, the creation of TikTok and OnlyFans and now we have Vtubers all over the fucking feed. Its all so tiresome.

And there are people who simp for even the most uncanny valley versions. Some channel was given a segment in E3 because for some reason G4 is trying to revive itself and thought hiring her would be a good idea. The avatar moved incredibly stiffly, the entire body was just off enough to be incredibly creepy, and their comedy was extremely forced. Yet apparently they'd already amassed a viewerbase of a few hundred thousand before that point.

Minute Physics is another one that's just eh for me now. Not because they're particularly politically biased, at least from what I've seen, but they've become incredibly clickbaity and low effort. Impressive for a channel that already produced only bite sized content. All of these science tidbit channels seem to become inevitable content farms.

His entire friend group is full of people that go on rants on Twitter about conservatives and conservative politicans. I'm surprised he's held out for as long as he has, the worst I've seen is him forcing Donald Trump jokes into some of his YIAYs. What are some examples of him going stupider than this recently? Most of his content isn't really in my tastes anymore. I'd say that's really the main reason I don't care for him was his complete transition into relying on user generated content, which has slowly killed a lot of channels because it's like a black hole for greedy people. When he did more sketches and YGS he was a lot more quality.

I was just thinking of making a post about my thoughts on Jacksfilms, but I didn't know if I should post it here or in the Lolcow General thread.

I'm glad I'm not alone in thinking Jacksfilms has been falling off a little. I virtually don't watch any of his stuff anymore, most of it is just YIAY (with a YGS or JackAsk thrown into the mix every once in a while, rarely a PMS video), which he's milked so hard that... I just don't know a good metaphor to describe how stale its become. Most of his videos barely gets a million views anymore (let alone half a million), and he's been bleeding subscribers for a while.

As far as his politics goes, I'm surprised he held out from going full SJW for as long as he could, even well into the Drumpf presidency when he was at his peak. He recently took down his most recent JackAsk because people were saying mean things about his wife (instead of, you know, turning off the comments?) This has to be cringiest set of tweets I have ever read from anyone, it's like that PSA of Pee-Wee Herman (literally the character, not the actor himself) warning you about the dangers of crack, but less unintentionally funny. I don't think neither of them would've comments like those years ago when they were more entertaining and witty. That's not to mention him calling the boomers that raided the Capitol terrorists and other generic lefty viewpoints he harbors.

As for his humor, it really has not held up well and is just not fashionable anymore. I think the current trend on YouTube is making comedic informative videos that serve as a balance between humor and education, or they're at least the types of videos I'm gravitating towards watching. Both Internet Historian and Scott the Woz are very humorous people, and I've learned a lot of stuff from watching their videos, especially the former with his in-depth content on many subjects.

That's all I have to say about him, other than his soybeard, and how funny it is that his pinned tweet is when he got married three years ago, probably because its his most liked tweet. I wonder how that'll hold up once he and his wife get divorced.

yeah you'd think two people who have been on the internet for over a decade at this point would learn to not take comments on youtube to heart , youd think jack would be more level headed when he got started on youtube by making fun of shit and poking at other creators , hell he has a song called "were all assholes talking to a camera".

Jacks newest yiay is flooded with comments supporting erin, much like jack has to do every day just to get her out of bed.
The funniest thing about this to me is just how low erin's self esteem is if youtube comments make her cry , she didnt even look that fat in the video , and yet shes made her husband have a public outburst about it like a good wife would , maybe eventually she'll fuck him.

In the past week I'm just done with Linus. Today's video really hit it home that unless it's Anthony, I just won't watch the channel.

It's not just the growing humble brags about his disposable income now, he's been letting his faggy leaf politics show up more and more. On the WAN show last week he tries to talk up canadian healthcare with just smug reddit "imagine you have to pay for healthcare, everyone I know likes our healthcare." And for a guy who talked about how it's hard for millenials to afford their own home, particularly in B.C. thanks to the chyna money gobbling up everything, he sure seems to love showing how he's got no worries anymore.

His subject matter is mildly entertaining. Most of the stuff he builds is a complete safety hazard and he's even been arrested over that shit on one occasion. That's not a bad thing per se, but what kills it is his "so zany and whacky!!!" persona. (That, and the irritating pop-punk music in every video.)

Every time I try to watch one of his videos because the subject is intriguing, I end up shutting it off about halfway through because I genuinely can't stand the guy.
